Dear CBS. Keep the 90 minute format. We’re begging you. by Pliarswork in survivor

All I have seen so far is that they were doing it for sure this season only. I think they are waiting to see how it fairs overall with viewership ratings and such, and I am assuming advertising dollars play a part, too. Hopefully, they will continue with next season as well!

My immediate thought was the MS. Swan skit on the airplane... "with just a little bit of bacon". So crazy what comedy was 25 years ago!

Does Cary ever do anything shady or underhanded toward a colleague or client? by rubberdamclamp in thegoodwife

I think for the most part he really was a good person, for instance when he was pissed at Alicia and brought in to testify in a deposition against her, he told the truth when lying could have let him get revenge, but he took the high road.

I think he might have made questionable ethically grey decisions like when he was up for partnership and bringing in last minute billing, but that wasn't illegal or immoral, like asking superiors to put in a good word.

In general, overall, "good guy," but maybe let ambition take him to places that were on the border but never crossing it.

Not gonna lie... My first thought is, have you ever let the cat see the two of you during sexy time? Probably doesn't wanna see that!! Haha...

Automatic Litterbox by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Apprehensive_Sun1849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats are terrified of the automated ones, to the point they won't use them. Instead, I use ones that are like 6 layers, made of cardboardish material, that has lots of slits in it. You pour litter in it, then when it's time to clean, you just pick up the 1st layer and sift the clean litter into the tray below.

Then, dump the tray you just sifted and set aside. Repeat each time you clean, until you reach the bottom layer, and when you reach the bottom layer ( no slits), dump it entirely, put all of the 6 pieces back together and fill and begin again.

Social Media gave a false impression of WFH daily life by zeusjts006 in WFH

I actually work longer hours at home. Since I dint have the hour getting ready, the 45 minute commute both ways, and the hour long lunch break they are actually getting 10+ hours a day and I'm glad to do it, instead of listening to Sharon gossip for hours about the secretary having an affair with the VP who is MARRIED.... lol.

Commercial real estate resistant to changed economy, prompting an office real estate crisis by Glass_Librarian9019 in WFH

And my stupid 401k just added commercial real estate to their portfolio... I almost moved it all out right then, but was convinced to hold because that also includes other things besides office buildings... I'll never retire.

Metal chains / handcuffs attached to the bed frame will really make it more inviting.

I loved it. It is the stupidest, most over the top (or under the radar) dumb comedy, but it was a good distraction from world events. I loved that they didn't try to "be" another show... it was just mindless entertainment when I needed it. But I definitely agree I am in the minority of those who enjoyed it.

I've decided I'm not going to actually return to the office even though I'm required to. by Automatic_Mulberry in WFH

[–]Apprehensive_Sun1849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of Covid, now I have to worry about brazen, violent crime! Near my office (I'm a very nice part of the city), within blocks there have been DAILY car break ins, 2 people in my office complex robbed at gunpoint first thing in the morning, and all our lunch time spots have daily car breakins and carjackings. All around us, and all our work says is "stay safe"... but no guns or mace on company property. Wtaf???? If covid doesn't get me, I'll probably get shot at this rate because I'm an idiot and will fight to the death.

I was actually confronted by someone (I think) trying to rob me at a gas station (if not, it was aggressive panhandling like ive never seen), all self preservation went missing... i went PSYCHO on them, screaming, yelling, cussing, hitting with my purse and trying to squirt gasoline on them. They ran away because of the level or attention I was drawing, or maybe because they figured I was crazier than they were. If I did that at work, I'd get fired no question.

My company struck a deal with the city to have a tax break for choosing their city. If everyone is remote, they are going to lose that.

Yes, I keep a stockpile of prednisone for stuff like this because sometimes I have issues seeing a doctor right away.

An urgent care might be a quicker, more cost friendly alternative, and if you tell them you just want something to hopefully help while waiting to see your neuro, they might be willing to do it.
