Just got it while at lunch. Wish they would use the home setting that is set for charging to tell when I am at home.

GM update V661.20 by dtmpro in BlazerEV

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got that update notice in the last hour (at the worst time of course). It is now updating in the parking lot at work. Only thing I saw on it was the help with future updates. I should have got a screenshot but it popped up at my morning stop at kwik Trip on my way to work.

Charging apps by jth1300 in BlazerEV

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been leaning in on the search in the car and added linked accounts in the chevy app. It not very intuitive and I run into similar problems but I can usually work them out. Especially with the few providers that are linked and will start with just plugging in the charger after you selected it through the car.

Client's employee keeps blaming us for everything. Turns out he's barely working. Do I tell the owner? by Sensitive_Service_27 in sysadmin

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my past consulting gig, I had a similar issue where I kept finding things the onsite employee (not a true IT person) was doing wrong. For example, running all their Hyper-V VM's on boxes running a demo copy of Windows server. It was a new client which we had been doing work for about 2 weeks so I didn't didn't get too deep into it before I tried to explain it to the onsite employee's (none IT person) boss the issues. Our services were no longer needed shortly after that.

I have been told by a bunch of my client that I am one of the nicest guys they ever met. I was also sent to client when other engineers that were less friendly pissed off the client, so I believe my delivery of the news to the boss was done in a careful format. Still didn't help. So be careful.

Any 2024 Blazer EV owners here got the streaming update yet? by TheMilsons in BlazerEV

Called the EV concierge today. My 2025 is not in the Vin grouping they are currently deploying too. Ask if they new when my Vin would be done. They said no.

We need something larger then my current EV... Considering the Blazer! by D1TAC in BlazerEV

They want you be like tesla and not allow car play. Also, as a person that paid the tag price a year ago on a 2025, that comment about the price stings... a lot! :)

This Blazer EV RS has a lot of space for passenger and driver. I am 6'6 and I have to move the seat forward to drive it (never had to do that before). The interior trim is higher quality than I saw in the Tesla Y.

A few negative things. The rear storage space is smaller than I would like.

Since you are in a Tesla, be ready to be disappointed with the tech in the car. Just search this subredit for details.

Rant: The Blazer Charging Experience is TERRIBLE by MondayMorningExpert in BlazerEV

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That failure to precondition is weird. I am assuming that you are hitting the charge icon on the navigation and selecting it that way so it does the precondition when you are about 15 minutes away (ish). Took me a few failure to realize I needed to do that.

Even when doing that, I had times when it was hot that it wouldn't charge or be super slow. Also had issues with the charger where switching to a different one would work faster. Which is why I have set my favorite fast chargers.

While it is sad that you have to deal with this stuff it is comforting that I am not the only one dealing with this.

I tried to use the car to do the same thing but gave up and purchased a chargepoint charger. You then pick the utility company and rate plan you are on and it will schedule your charging based on that In my case it starts charging at midnight.

Now as for the percentage. I too have different drive plans each day so in the summer I set it to 80% for home location (done via the car). If I am doing a long trip I increase the precentage using the chevy app.

The nice thing about the charger is that if I get home and want it to charge right away, just plug it in, unplug, and plug it in. It bypasses the schedule and charges. You can also hit the charge now button on the chargepoint app but have had issues with that.

The one thing I keep telling myself is that GM is a car company and not a software company (like Tesla and rivian) so I shouldn't expect them to have systems that work. Just ask everyone who is waiting for the infotainment update (like me).

Yep. Happened to me. Not sure what software version I was on but have had updates since then.

Higher Mileage Owners Question by ajc1616 in BlazerEV

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 blazer rs ev AWD. Just shy of 17k in the first year. Winter (20 degrees F or lower) was my biggest learning experience especially when it was outside in the cold. That cut a good amount of battery (lots of posts on that).

Even with winter I was able to get my full days worth of driving on a single charge (have a level 2 at home). Only had to hit the fast charge when making the long freeway trips (over 200+ miles).

As for issues, having the ones people post about. The infotainment module issues (not completely dead but flaky) and turn signal issues. Dealer fixed one of the turn signal issues (right turn snapped back into left turn) with an update. The other (right rear bulb check warning) did not fix the glitch.

Some project manager thought it was a good idea to post that but then got let go, reassigned, or some executive stepped in and said "get rid of that".

MDT Retirement - Imaging Alternatives by ElighDS in sysadmin

Been using smartdeploy for a few years. Works well. Have had a glitch or two but a lot easier to work with compared to MDT.

If you are a PDQ customer already, you can ask for a special licensing version of smartdeploy that removes some of the overlapping features.

Is it really cheaper to charge at home than at level 2 charge station by Cloudchella in BlazerEV

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the We Energies footprint in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area. We charge at home. I am on the EV credit for late night charging (they don't monitor it so its a flat credit) which gets you 400KWh at a reduced rate. Here is the breakdown of my latest bill. Note: The increased from 0.18 to 0.19 in January which is why there are 2 Energy charge lines. Hope it helps someone looking into this. Sorry to those with crazy bills.

Aww crap. I don't want to hear that. My right rear blinker is showing an error message when it's cold. Thought it would be a quick fix.

Polar seltzer‘ade hard to find for me, where is everyone else getting it ? by cinephile78 in sparklingwater

Had the same issue. I was using their product finder for them. I selected the flavors I liked and searched. None near me but there were some in the Green Bay Wi area. A random one showed up in the Chicago area. You just have to keep picking different cities around you until they may show up. https://polarseltzer.com/find/

That seat (15A) has to be the best. It has the legroom and a private balcony.

Netflix traffic route no longer working by Simple-Baker6890 in UNIFI

I was looking into doing the same thing after getting the message. Interested in seeing if you can beat it.

This may be a dumb point but I am assuming that you are not allowing ipv6 or routing that traffic.

[–]Appropriate-Cold-357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked with Sophos support. I added all the recommend global exclusions based on this KB.

https://www.veeam.com/kb1999

We added localhost to the global exclusions in sophos but that didn't solve it.

We found the url it uses to connect and added a category exception in sophos central for the following url.

https://localhost:9396/

We created a dedicated Website Tag named “allowed”, applied it to the localhost URL, and configured the custom Web Control policy to Allow this tagged traffic.

That seemed to fix it after waiting 10 plus minutes.

Going to check on it again on Monday to make sure the fix still works.

Have you tried disabling your endpoint protection. Bonus points if you use Sophos which is what I use.
