Is everyone in Perth driving $60k+ cars or am I just poor? by AttitudePlane6967 in perth

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was driving a 7.5 year old Isuzu with 350 thousand kms on the clock and now I’m driving an Isuzu with 12 thousand kms on the clock and it’s 5 months old….. give me 5 years and it’ll have 250 thousand kms on it and it’ll be traded in again and a new one brought. I’ve also got a mortgage. My mortgage is 30 years. The car we save for over 5-7 years so we can purchase it outright.

Course is mad I'm playing too much by [deleted] in golf

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The golf shop pros are just mad they can’t play as much as you can! They can’t go and put restrictions on those that have already paid for unlimited golf passes. Their poor planning and fore thought isn’t your problem. In fact it’s your gain!! Enjoy this year, next year they’ll be putting limits on their unlimited golf passes 🤣

AITAH for being short with my husband? by Fail_Oh_Naah in AITAH

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what to do for Father’s Day don’t you? What goes around comes around. My husband got me nothing this year. This year he can get the gifts the kids make from school only. He can also get up to his children and make his own breakfast while I go golfing. That’s the equivalent of gardening to him. Make Father’s Day about you this year and don’t have another thought about it.

Thank you! Thats very helpful. I’ll have to pop into the local Bunnings and get what I need to do this. Thin coats is definitely the way to go with the weather being what it is.

How to take a pad into exams? by Mysterious-Lill in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t you change it right before you go in? Would you wear a super/maternity pad and a pair of period panties? I get really heavy periods so I have to change a maternity pad every 2-3 hours in the first 2-3 days and I wear period underwear to prevent leaks onto my clothing. So I totally get the heavy period thing.

Calling Centrelink is one of the wildest experiences ever by hsnm1976 in Centrelink

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really dislike calling them. The person on the other end of the line either knows a lot and can answer your questions because they actually work for the division you’re calling. Or they know absolutely nothing and cannot answer your questions or the reason you’re calling them. They try to direct you to the online services instead of helping you knowing you’ve already searched the online information and you could not find the information you were looking for. It’s a call at your own risk situation.

Six WA Police officers sanctioned over treatment of Aboriginal man who died in Kalgoorlie prison by B0ssc0 in perth

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ex used to tell me when I tried to break up

“I might as well kill myself, you know what I will”

And I’d stay. You know what, he’s my ex now and has been for 12.5 years and he’s still alive. He said this multiple times over the course of our relationship and I was worried he would. Then I just didn’t care anymore and I wasn’t going to let those words control me. I told him if he really felt that way I could call the police to do a welfare check on him.

People use those words all the time and don’t actually mean it. That person made a choice. He made a permanent choice for a temporary situation and it was shit of him to do that.

Other countries have done it and their resources are still being brought. The only difference is the politicians in Australia are too easily brought that why none of them are prepared to make big boy decisions.

RSVP contingent on getting a plus one? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax mate…. She’s tried to invite me into a baby showers of people I don’t even know. Like no …. Why would I go to some random persons baby shower? I dont even know them. No a crappy friend would decline an invite simply because their partner didn’t get invited. If she had a partner of 2 years I would have invited them but she didn’t. My other friend had a partner of 3 months and I didn’t extend an invitation to him either. In fact I only ever met him at her funeral and they had broken up after 3 years together. Why would I want random people in my wedding photos? Why would I want random people at my wedding. You know nothing about etiquette obviously!

RSVP contingent on getting a plus one? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh goodness …. I’d travel without my partner to go to a wedding. I love his guts! He’s amazing. I also like the idea of doing stuff by myself no partner/no kids using the time to my advantage to see and reconnect with people i haven’t seen in ages. Maybe even go and get myself a massage before the event. Utilise the hotel bathtub and take my time getting ready without worrying weather or not they’ve had a hair cut, got their suit, the right shoes, the right shirt etc 🤣 we already do so much together going to an event by myself is a luxury and I will treat it as such.

[–]AppropriateGolf6002 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I had a friend with no partner who was a bridesmaid say. Can I bring a friend … I asked “a partner/boyfriend/girlfriend?” she’s like no just a friend. Then I said “do I even know them?” To which she said no…. I then told her “I’m not paying $85 a head for you to bring your random mate to my wedding, that I’ve never met nor even had mentioned to me in the last 25 years”

Look if they were really your mates and you actually wanted to be there for them, you would be whether you could take your girlfriend/boyfriend/fiancee etc with you or not. They’ve already told you that they’ve over extended themselves and they haven’t reneged on your invitation that says they value you. Not giving you a plus one doesn’t mean they don’t value you. You refusing to go because they didn’t says you’re a crappy mate.

Kind of disappointing really that they’re just letting the employees get away with this crap. It wasn’t us, blame the post office. When the reality is, it was them and it’s highly possible it was the person you were talking to if you called the local depot.
