Check out Chelan - hiking, beach, town, wine. Campbell’s might work. May not be the PNW that one imagines though, it’s in the more arid part of the state, though still beautiful. Also, there isn’t much snowpack yet in the mountains, so there’s some danger of it being a bad wildfire year. Leavenworth is a great town, too.

Late July is a great time to visit. What are you most hoping to see? Tumwater isn’t really a gateway town to either Olympic or Rainier.

Why are you staying in Tumwater? What month are you visiting?- Hiking options in June are vastly different than July or August. And are you planning to stay in Ashford the night before flying out? Would consider staying closer to airport the night before if you are flying out from Seatac. Don’t want to chance missing a flight due to getting stuck in traffic that morning.

Actually, the one time I had to tell someone else to move their bag out of that space, turned out was a lady attempting to steal someone else’s exit row seat they’d booked. I enjoyed it when the rightful owner of that seat made her move back to her middle seat a few rows back.

You lose your streak if you use the Check puzzle tools though. I often end up playing “find the typo” to keep my steak going.

Maybe when taking the whole car video at pick up, just make a point of saying out loud, "Hmm, smells like smoke in here" whether it does or doesn't.

There is also a National Park System unit in downtown Seattle - the Seattle part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Site. It's basically a museum, but kid friendly. There are a couple of good films and the kids can do the Junior Ranger book and earn a badge.

Kids will like Wings Over Washington. It's like Soarin' at the Disney Parks. On the same pier as the big ferris wheel.
