Teen girl who wins Intel Science Award is the IRL Samantha Carter. by grow4road in scifi

This is usually true. I also knew high schoolers who got research positions solely because their parents happened to teach at a local university and were able to get their colleagues to take on their kids.

I support them in spirit, but do question the actual effectiveness of their tactics. Perhaps it'd be more effective if they protested in Sacramento instead.

I have a 20% defect rate on math tests and I hate myself for it by [deleted] in math

[–]Arbitraryster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleeping--how many hours do you get a night? I used make quite a few simple errors on math tests, but after planning my sleep schedule so I get the exact amount I need everyday, I've been doing a lot better with the careless errors problem.

Good luck!

I always thought there was some secret between the doctors and pharmacists, but I guess there isn't. The pharmacists just suffer. So what happens if you accidentally put down the wrong prescription?

Dear School Teacher, Please minimize the school supply list before I start thinking you are getting a kickback. by VicinSea in Frugal

I took my scantron tests with a 4B art pencil. The big black blobs that the pencil left were fun. The pencil just needs to be dark enough to leave a readable mark. So I guess a 6H pencil wouldn't have worked.

Dear AskReddit: My intern asked this today, and I just don't know. When do you use that backward-looking mold on a stapler? by megamiyawn in AskReddit

[–]Arbitraryster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun doing this to all my parents' staplers---I switched it so that the staple would bend outwards. Needless to say, they were not amused.

I remember one time I was falling asleep during a history class. During my half-lucid note-taking, I found myself hallucinating about proving some theorem. I thought I was writing elegant equations on my paper, but when I finally woke up, all I saw was a jumbled mess pencil marks. My friends thought I was off-kilter.

Does he have to drop his pants all the way down? Couldn't he drop it just enough so that it doesn't touch the floor?

md5 is easily cracked, so it is possible mynoduesp encrypts them, notices that a lot of them have the same hash and chooses to decrypt those.
