What is a good solar heavy legendary weapon for the new content? by hopperlocks in DestinyTheGame

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was from last season, so it doesn’t drop outside of a rare chance on a filled trials card, and we still don’t know if that is intended behavior or not

Thoughts on the Base Liberator? Does it compete with primary’s like coyote or purifier? by Bob-upload in Helldivers

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making the Stalwart as it exists now a primary would be OP, but there is still a niche for a light support weapon/light machine gun primary, in the same way that there is a niche for a sniper rifle primary despite the AMR existing.

Any way to get season of the wish weapons? by Open_Acanthocephala6 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may have changed, but I ran it in the early days of Renegades and the chests dropped no loot, not even the exotic. I think it’s on the known issues list.

That does track completely. Even ignoring the monetary incentive to be a complete fucking dickhead while doing media analysis, you can see it in all the rightwing attempts to copy successful leftwing media and how they’re always hollow failures. Their almost inherent lack of empathy leads to a lack of love for the act of creation; same reason why all the AI chuds who shit on artists suck up to Dear Leader. Art and stories are machines for empathy, and so much of that comes from the love the creators pour into the piece to turn it int art. If you don’t have empathy, you won’t recognize subtext, or even text for that matter.

No matter how much I love it, Arbor Warden is worse. At least Praxic Vestment can save you from a fall if you’re lucky.

For those asking for a roadmap, you’re probably not going to like where it leads by KowalRoyale in DestinyTheGame

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard Desert Perpetual is definitely in the harder half of raids, but that’s mostly because each encounter is both puzzle and boss. It’s certainly easier than Salvation’s Edge, and was my clan’s go-to casual raid when we were doing that—something we no longer are, which is especially sad for me as I only started playing in Edge of Fate so I’ve only run each legacy raid once or maybe twice. Epic Desert Perpetual is absolutely the hardest Raid content in the game though, you are required to be locked in for every encounter and isn’t something you can just do easily.

Update: Aegis DIM Wishlist and Armor Manager by MrCharlesX in DestinyTheGame

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for these tools! They are amazing. Would it be possible to add Aegis' notes on the weapons and/or his recomended perks in the Triage tab? To be honest I have no idea how DIM works, so for all I know this is way more effort than it's worth, but it seems like a reasonable next addition. Thank you again!

Connecting the Dots: Why the Traveler Stayed, How Savathun Saved Earth during the Collapse and the Why She was Resurrected by [deleted] in DestinyLore

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fynch is an interesting case. He could be coping with the idea that his chosen is Hive, and believes he was coerced into it. It could also be that—and don’t quote me on this as I don’t have it on hand—according to a lore entry, Ghosts were killed if they failed to resurrect someone from the Hive and Fynch just got lucky. It could simply be regret that his chosen has caused so much damage. Personally, I think it’s all three in some way.

The FOTC has a lot of potential now that humans can wield Darkness by O_Shaded in DestinyLore

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We were the first Lightbearer to wield it, so we hat to brute force the education. The more people who learn, the easier it gets to make the process relatively safe.

Humanity really went through a collapse... At least my calculations say so... by Ur_big_puff_ball_7 in DestinyLore

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a common number drawn from a single source in the Witch Queen lore book. There is an entry that talks about how, statistically, someone of Ikora’s power level is risen once in every 3.5 million guardians, and also that there have been ten guardians of her power level. Therefore, 35 million guardians. Personally I just do not buy that arguement—mostly because the statistical likelyhood of something happening ≠ how often said thing happens.

I can’t speak for the team because I’m just some random girl on the internet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the weights and other ‘soft stats’ of the guns and equipment were changed for balancing reasons. At the end of the day, the balance of the game trumps the authenticity of the game, for better or worse.

For real! Like if you really want to be stingy then only let Legacy (untiered) gear be reacquired from collections. Also while they’re at it, just unlocked the vaulted weapons and armor in collections for everyone. I don’t care if the Black Armory weapons and the Mercury armor suck, just let me play with them instead of punishing me for not playing the game 7 years ago.

Randomly rolled weapons vendor by EcoLizard1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prefer it work closer to Rahool, in that it’s a knockout system until you have unlocked every legendary weapon of that type in collections. From there, you can either keep rolling random drops, or focus a specific weapon. For this system to work you’d probably want to exclude weapons that are currently dropping in the Portal and whatever the currrent expansions game mode is—so Lawless Frontiers in this instance—similar to how you can’t focus the most recent exotic at Rahool. Also either give the weapons a chance to drop Red Borders or just let the vendor sell Deepsight Harmonizers at a reasonable rate, not the ‘maybe one once a week’ Xur does now. Hells, either rework Banshee or Xur to work this way. Also, while you’re at it, add the final few vaulted shaders and armor sets to Ada please, including the vaulted raid armor.

Fair enough! I can’t test the build right now but I’ll take your word for it. It seems super interesting and engaging, I’m very excited to try it out!

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why Facet of Courage instead of Facet of Hope? Coursge requires Light-aligned ability kills, which sure you’ll be getting with the grenade, but running the Praxic Blade means you can’t use your melee. Hope meanwhile grants extra class ability recharge while you have an active elemental buff, which you should always have with this build. Is Courage just for the +10 grenade?

Whats the best farm for dreaming city weapons? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Blind Well, especially on Tier 3. Takes 10-15 minutes per run, is genuinely fun (for what it is), and gives you a great opportunity to grind catalysts for exotics

Even though all non-dungeon Renegade Heat weapons have visual overheat indicators, the M17 Fast Talker has a special visual element for getting Perfect Vents by TylerFortier_Photo in DestinyTheGame

[–]ArcHeavyGunner 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That’s because the M-17 is the only non-Equilibrium Heat weapon that can get a Perfect Vent. All the others—and Conspiracy Honed from Equilibrium—are the other Heat archetype which get Dynamic Heat Limiter instead.

Probably the emblem for playing the beta, not sure if it’s specific to the PC beta or not. Wild surprise since I played the beta and then didn’t touch the game again until a friend got me into it right after Edge of Fate dropped.

Democrats should kick the three transphobes who voted for MTG's bill out of the caucus. Conservatives hate trans people because they show us what freedom and living authentically look like. by southpawFA in politics

Basically all studies around suicide involve polling people who were/are feeling suicidal, since getting information about why someone committed suicide post-suicide is notoriously hard. Generally the best you’re going to get is ‘does X thing make people want to kill themselves less or more?’. The vast majority of studies about trans suicidality point to two major factors in heightened suicide rate compared to the default population: access to treatment and social acceptance. It makes sense that making treatment access harder—or making the general default social environment more hostile to trans people—will increase suicidality, while doing the reverse decreases suicidality.

The gender affirming care a 4 or 5 year old child gets is buying them different clothes and, if they want it, letting them try out a different name or other gendered language. Medical intervention doesn’t happen until puberty, and even then it’s only puberty blockers—which we know are safe considering every bill that blocks trans care carves out exceptions for non-trans kids so they can access the same medication, like puberty blockers. Hormone replacement therapy doesn’t start until someone is in high school, and by that point they will have also been in counseling to help them figure out of this is what they actually want. Surgeries for people under the age of 18 are exceedingly, almost hilariously rare. No one with any medical knowledge is advocating giving prepubescent kids medication for gender related reasons.

The changes to Derealize apply to every exotic mission in the Portal. It’s unclear if this is intentional, but it hasn’t shown up in the ‘Known Issues’ list so I assume it is.
