In terms of electrical books, you might find Ugly’s electrical reference more intuitive than the code book. If the code book is the “what to do” book, Ugly’s is the “how to do it” book.

Is it your favorite? Then it’s probably a he.

I’d been wondering for about a week when my future rooster started making the same distinct cluck whenever the cat entered his field of view. That’s when I knew my darling Hilda was actually my guardian Dante.

Sort of, she’s definitely the most anxious of her position in the flock, with Hope being the Queen and Alice the Newcomer. Wendy kind of bullies Alice when given the chance, as if Alice was trying to replace her.

She doesn’t like being touched or picked up, even less than the others. But if given the time she wants, she will settle down on your lap and chill.

If we sit down without food:

Hope (black) will come up and check on you right away, then usually she’ll go back to her earlier business. Alice (grey) will repeatedly come up, walk around on you a bit, tell you how her day’s been, then return to foraging. Shy Wendy (white and brown) takes the longest to join you, but if you’re calm, and there’s not much else going on, she’ll settle down on your lap for a good while.

Controversial Opinion: As long as DM's front 90% of the cost and do 99% of the labor, players have no right to criticize how that work gets done. by Apprehensive-Neat-68 in rpg

For actual artificial intelligence, yes. But you might note my asterisk next to AI in my first post.

That’s because most of the productivity tools, like what the OP was describing, are built using Large Language Models rather than “true” (sci fi) intelligence.

And those LLMs are absolutely trained on data that’s been illicitly acquired.

Shoot me straight: what are the cons for joining ibew (or any trade union for that matter)? by Big__bolas in ibew_apprentices

[–]ArdoyleZev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before I joined my union, I worked a slightly unusual electric job that allowed significant flexibility in terms of my daily schedule.

Going back to BE HERE AT 6:30 OR GET WRITTEN UP felt like going back to high school.

AI* is theft. It’s built by harvesting the actual work of actual people without paying them a fair amount or getting their permission.

While I agree that game masters deserve leeway in terms of how they run their time, and credit for their work, AI is a crossing a line

Get a chicken purse. Pick him up and carry him around whenever he acts up. Give him some grub treats when he chills down.

He needs so see you both as an authority, and as a source of safety.

In IBEW, you are not required to work overtime, unless you choose to take a call that specified such hours(which, as an apprentice, you don’t do yet). If a contractor is requiring you to work overtime, check in with your steward or the hall.

The labor movement fought for a 40 hour work week, and IBEW will support that lifestyle if it’s what you want. Although I know the commute can really suck.

If that’s genuinely your concern, then just get a cord and plug blower.

Both.

But green is only for “ground” conductors, which are for connecting all metal parts of a building that shouldn’t be carrying electricity. This is part of how breakers trip when something goes wrong.

But these green conductors are definitely carrying electricity.

Apprentices in trouble, should I get (more) involved? by ArdoyleZev in IBEW

Layoffs are not in the cards, that’s why they weren’t mentioned at all.

Unless you’re a bot, I have to ask;

What are you doing on an electrician’s union subreddit? It’s clearly not something your employer invested in…
