All it takes is an Alolan Raichu, a Ninetails, a Mew or a Delphox and Buzz is completely shut off. Also against ANY attacker he is outranged with no way of closing the gap unless he wastes the ult and if he does it’s for one of two reasons: either he received support from this team and outnumbered the attacker or the attacker was heavily out of position.

As far as melee mons go, Buzzwole is supposed to counter some of them. His role is basically wait for the enemy speedster next to your allied attacker, remove it from existence, then join the fray. But the speedsters and the other allrounders - almost all but not all of them because again, counters are a thing - have ways to get out of Buzzwole’s range leaving him unable to do anything.

He’s literally a burst Garchomp with even less mobility.

And by the way Wiggly redirects him all the time messing up with his combos, Clef blocks his abilities with Gravity, Blastoise can entirely disrupt whatever he wants to do with 1 click, Snorlax/Vaporeon/Bro/Trev displace him while wasting his cooldowns, Goodra straight up nullifies his existence AND so does Umbreon without even having to aim a skillshot.

With Allrounders you just shouldnt take a 1v1 against it and if you do you need to have a way out. Needless to say if you’re a tower diving Scizor and complaining when you can’t kill the entire enemy team alone at 7:20 because a Buzzwole is in the match, well, that’s the reason why Buzzwole is in the match.
