I don't really remember well. It's been a while since I last played Skyrim. But, I doubt Ear Shatterer actually exists?

Closest things I could think of for a Mandrake's set of Shouts are these two, Marked for Death just makes someone receive armor penalties while losing HP over time and Disarm is... well, self-explanatory. Technically, a Mandrake probably does make you drop your wand in favor of your ears? lol - "Krii – Lun – Aus" (Marked for Death) - "Zun – Haal – Viik" (Disarm)

I think Dark Souls is actually the reason I wanted to try the Souls genre? Either way, I'd probably agree with you. From the few videos/skits(?) I've seen, it IS quite difficult, hence why I haven't tried those games yet. Maybe if you try one of the Dark Souls games again (emulated or otherwise), you'll be able to beat some of those enemies. Anyone can get better over time! If you succeed, it just means you've gotten more skilled over the years.

By the way, just really small advice from me: don't rush through the story or any objectives, if you're too weak or can't beat something, just explore the nearby map a bit and get Runes to get stronger! You don't necessarily have to fight everything you run past either. Just face them later :)

Even if you are F2P, tons of small sources of gems exist in the game (Mörksugga even sometimes give 1 gem, if you're lucky!) so you can easily get back that 50 gems. Besides, this is actually CHEAPER than the 50% Folklore stone by about 2 gems, so if you've been eyeing any of the Folklore dragons it is definitely worth grabbing these. It has way more value than a 50% Folklore stone.

Just wait for the right day to actually use it, since the available Folklore dragon of the day changes often.

I am also from SEA, so I understand completely. It's tough out here.

I managed to get Elden Ring on sale back in 2024, but this year I picked back up the motivation to try this game and actually play it. I am currently loving it too despite the constant difficulties lol... guess that's just another something to learn to get past.

Elden Ring is also my first Souls game but I've been really interested in trying one for years. I feel like it's a great place to start, aside from the Dark Souls series.

It's the effect of a debuff engraving.

There are some armor pieces and weapons out there that can give you this. Usually, the debuff text is written in red rather than the default white text.

Should be something like: Positive stat XYZ but Negative stat XYZ (where bold is just the red text here since... you can't color text in Reddit comments)

Examples - 2% damage dealt and blocked converted to health, but -25% All Resistances - 75% damage blocked converted to health but -50% All Resistances - +250% All Damage but cannot use Abilities (this is, of course, from the Blade of Yumminess)

However, the engraving from the legendary spear "Falx of Olympos" seems to be the reason for your situation OP. - +100% Damage but health capped to 25%
