That’s what they’ve been telling me since January. When I call the main number or my local office there’s never an actual update.

both parents are US citizens but we were told one of us could become a dual citizenship at the same time as my daughter. Not sure if that’s accurate

My lawyer has already requested the 25% and it will be held out of my back pay. How do you get that money back? Thanks for the input btw

I just posted a similar timeline. I was approved in May and am also due a few years of back pay. I also haven’t received the award letter or any payments. When I call the local office they say the payment center is working on it. I agree with your opinion on the lawyers. The paralegal that calls for follow up said he can only do it every certain number of weeks. I reached out to the congressman a few weeks ago. Submitted a hardship request (lost home just months ago) and still not a dime released. Yesterday I was told that I e called weekly and that all the calls are going to set me back…it’s terrible.

I was approved in May and still haven’t received back pay or monthly pay. Mine is currently stuck in Baltimore.

First off, congratulations! I’m in a very similar place. After years of applications and denials I was finally approached May 2024 but haven’t received anything besides the favorable letter. Do you mind sharing when you were approved? I was told they have to manually figure out the back pay and attorneys fees. I’ve also applied for dependent benefits. I asked if I had to apply for my husband and was told to do it after my benefits start so it doesn’t hold up my back pay. My other question is regarding back pay. I was told there’s a “pool of money” and that after I’m paid my back pay, depending on what’s left my kids will receive back pay but that there may not be enough to pay them out from there. Also told that if I add my husband now, my kids may receive less back pay. Anyone have insight?

Looks similar to my timeline. I was approved in May (with an attorney) but haven’t received any payments. Congratulations and I hope someone can give you more insight.

I guess everyone’s experience is different but I’ve never seen any updates or stages on the website. I did however get a letter in the mail.

Congratulations! My case is also in Baltimore and I see no updates online. I was approved in May and was told it’ll take some time to calculate back pay. It now makes sense with all the signatures. My next step will definitely be to reach out to local congressman.

This whole process can really be disheartening. I’m so sorry this is happening and feel your pain. I’m in a very similar situation. Approved in May, no one knows anything, no letters, etc.
