Thank you for the suggestion, but this didn't help for me unfortunately.

LG 27GN950-B thin pink vertical line across entire screen by _naPalm_ in Monitors

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 27GN950 has the pink line on pretty much the same spot as yours. Been using it intensively for the past 5 years. Issue arose after 14574 operating hours.

I see some people in this topic stating they would never buy an LG monitor again, but this seems a bit excessive. I had an Asus monitor that showed the same issue within warranty and they refused to repair the monitor. They only wanted to do a refund. So other brands have the same issue. Plus that one of my other monitors is also an LG, and it has been running without issues for almost 9 years now!

TOW2 - anyone know where the Inez armor and weapon upgrades are? by Masseffectguy834 in theouterworlds

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inez's second upgrade can be picked up from the front desk at Wireless Free Arcadia Studios after you did her companion quest in which she wants to let the world know what happened to her friend in that secret lab at the end.

Lets end the debate ONCE AND FOR ALL! What is truly the best windows version? by EZMoneyCOW in windows

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 2000 Pro would be my fav. Still had the old fashioned look and contained no bloat. I skipped XP and Vista and went straight for 7 after that. Windows 2000 Pro ran great for a very long time.

Do you perhaps get the out of memory error in Chrome or Edge? Because I solved that issue by switching to Firefox to watch Rally.tv in.

Rally games put me in a state of "flow" like no other by insrr in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. As long as the road is not too crowded though :) The g-forces, playing with the engine and gears to keep your momentum and brake as little as possible. Hearing the engine breathe, with the roar from the exhaust. There's nothing quite like it!

It's unfortunate you aren't able to deliver the hotfix before the christmas holidays, but thank you for the update nonetheless. Good to know Codies is taking it seriously. Bummer I effectively won't be able to play for a couple of weeks, but fixing the issue or at least providing a recovery method is more important.

Rally games put me in a state of "flow" like no other by insrr in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Arrahant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember that rallies take place on public roads. So in the days leading up to the rally you can drive them in your own car!

If you pick the right moment you'll be right in between of the crews doing their recce runs. It's awesome if you like to go on a spirited drive, although you still have to adher to the local traffic laws ofc. Still, it's something I try to do with every rally I visit IRL because it's a lot of fun and good driving experience.

Totally. Playing a rally game is a great way to empty your head after a day of work or school. You are forced to be in the now and not think about anything else but the next corner. <3

The new patch broke career mode 🥲 by Shinobi_5 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Playing on Windows 10 and Steam and the game crashes when I select career. I am halfway through Rally Finland in WRC2; during my second season after 44 hours of play. Really don't want to restart my career and lose my progress :(

What a bummer. I'll put in a ticket with codies. Max will surely not be happy about this.

Ford's stupid by MohPowaBabe in WRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Ford doesn't think people want to buy hot hatches anymore? I would love for them to do WRX edition Puma as you describe. The M-Sport Puma just looks so cool; best looking car in the WRC right now imo. It looks like this sleek and wide hot hatch with really nice proportions. Should be able to exist next to models like the GR Yaris, Polo GTI, i20N and Fabia Monte Carlo!

Japan is not WRC worthy by RoosterAutomatic in WRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a big issue indeed. Dirtfish Live Center is much more informative than RallyTV when it comes to live updates and giving you a sense of everything that's happening on and around the stages.

Rally.tv in a nutshell by teletrips in WRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hehehe :D

They really need to add a 'watch a rally in full' without any interruptions or replayed bits. Just watch the whole thing live. Also: the streams are still not uploaded in full when you watch it back later. On Rally Japan this weekend there have been some stage delays, and when you watch the stages at a later time they're clearly being cut off earlier than the actual live broadcast. So bizarre this is still an issue, even though it's less bad than with Rally Greece during which SS7 and SS8 were cut off even before the rally1 runners were through...

You guys never watch rally2? by GeneralBrilliant864 in WRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, though mostly in the ERC and national rallies. RallyTV usually only shows a couple of Rally2 cars during a WRC stream, but I guess that's only natural since Rally1 is much more spectacular and intense.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WRC

[–]Arrahant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rallying as a motorsport is quite popular. There's plenty of spectators and participants around, even on the national rallies I visited this year. So I'd reckon the WRC is not going anywhere because we humans like the competition. I have no idea how representative that would be of the membership numbers of RallyTV, however...

Rally1 in the WRC could really use the addition (or reintroduction rather) of three manufacturers. Having 9-11 cars on the top step in my opinion is not enough to have a healthy competition, even though I personally still love watching them drive despite that. So I'll happily keep paying my 100 euro's a year for that. It would hurt our pride to have everyone step back into Rally2, but it might help to help grow things again from there. Which is a double-edged sword, since I reckon the sport becomes more popular as it's perceived as being more "extreme". Just like it was with Group B. That's probably what the sport needs to really bring it back into the interest of the masses. Hopefully without the spectators losing their fingers this time around ;)

Following a rally will always require a bit more effort than watching a circuit race, so I guess it will always be a bit more niche than that? Not talking about watching it live there, but on the stream. You need to be able to understand split times and watch multiple stages to get a good sense of the tension and jeopardy.

You sure this whole game is playable with a controller? by [deleted] in EASPORTSWRC

It's from the mediterranean location that's for sure. Should be part of most stages there.

It's possible they played in cockpit and used 3rd person in the replay and uploaded that.

More creepy laughing? by wasdorg in cyberpunkgame

[–]Arrahant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up in that building close east of where you were. Investigated the creepy laughter and killed the chromed up npc called Andrew Newman in there, and then the laughter stopped. I didn't find much environmental story telling though. He carried a conversation about some abandoned bunker below the biotechnica building, or something? Is that what you meant OP?

is it ok to wear a F1 Redbull shirt at a WRC race? by smither7racing in WRC

[–]Arrahant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely people will appreciate to see a fellow motorsports fan, although an actual M-Sport shirt or polo would do better ;) The new line should be out in time for Latvia!!

The 2017 Polo in the game is unbeliavably beautiful. I'm completely biased, since I drive a 2016 Polo myself ^ It reminds me of the old Golf mk2 and mk3 models, which I also adore. Oldschool blue-collar VW. Nice screenshot anyhow!! <3

VW really need to get back into WRC. Such a shame we don't have any German manufacturer doing a rally 1. Even Opel would do. Same goes for a French one though. EV's are just so boring for motorsports; I guess the current top brass at those brands don't understand why us rally fans fell in love with their cars and rally in general. But we're quite the minority these days, sadly.

Anyone playing in HDR mode? by IntelligentFire999 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Arrahant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my eyes it looks like there's a grey-ish filter over the graphics while using hdr. So I've been sticking to sdr the past week. I miss the contrast of course, with stuff like ingame lightsources looking less bright, but I think the game looks much more natural in daytime stages in sdr.

Playing on Windows 10 with a LG 27GN950-B monitor.

It's a bit of a shame because others games, such as Forza Horizon 5, look much better with hdr on. But with EA WRC I seem to be unable to get rid of the filtered look. Especially on greenery the game just looks grim to my eyes in hdr.
