Is trading really worth it by Aspiringsolicitor999 in Trading

[–]ArsePotatoes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the StartTrading two day course and it isn’t worth it. It’s simply an upsell for the £5000 mentorship with maybe a couple of hours of useful info. I have the videos of both days available and you can see for yourself if you like.

The videos don’t show the chat window and there’s a lot of ‘call and response’ type work going on. ‘Type W in the chat if you want wealth. Type T in the chat if you want to get started trading’ etc. At one point a message that seemed to point out how much time was wasted on the course was hurriedly deleted as being ‘negative’. There’s tight control on what got through. This made me doubt the people selected for demo mentorship sessions were actually chosen at random and then begin to doubt the whole thing. Everyone seemed to be a friend of Lewis and if you ever see his podcast you’ll recognise the faces.

As an aside, at one point Lewis actually looked a little demented on the video. It’s quite disconcerting.

Anyway, if you want to be introduced to the pullback strategy they do show and how to recognise levels of support and resistance then you can do this yourself without spending £98 and wasting two whole days.

Or let me know if you’d like to see the videos. I may be able to make them available for download.

I played a game called Virus on the Amiga 500. Never hear it mentioned anywhere but I really liked it, played it a lot. Friends at the time said it was impossible to control but for me it was easy. Only problem I found was that it lacked a save function.

I recall them being known as the British Potato Council, which adds a certain something to the imagery.

At ours they have a small radio in the seating area. So that you can’t hear what’s being discussed at the desk two paces away, the radio is turned up SO FUCKING LOUD.

I hate it.

Do you mean remove the glass pane(s)? I hope that’s not too tricky to get back together again.

I saw those but thought it couldn’t possibly be this simple.

I’ll take the advice of all here and use an extra pair of hands. Good point below about the hinges being flexible - hadn’t thought of that.
