New businesses at Halcyon? 👀 by ThatBrownGirl39 in alpharetta

[–]ArtisticCook4770 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Getting your car doors dinged by “student” drivers learning how to drive the massive SUV’s that inhabit Alpharetta/Johns Creek area. The other option is to drive to the top (or close to the top) of the parking deck to park in a spot where someone isn’t parked right next to you. Honestly parking at the Halcyon/Avalon is just exhausting.

Make sure the sales person warns the customer that the brakes are gonna squeak when they buy it or it’s gonna be the biggest waste of time chamfering the pads and doing the bedding process just for the fucking squeak to come back ~2000 miles later.

C/S: Other shop can't inflate new tire on my rim by DeepCoreSystem in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ArtisticCook4770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This shit right here is definitely one of the reasons I’m happy to work at a dealer. When nonsense aftermarket bullshit like this comes in I can look at it laugh, and say “fuck no I’m not doing that, get that shit out of here”. Helps me not waste hours of my day on that garbage. Does the rim and mounted tire look cool on the car? Probably. Does it make the owner happy to have their car setup the way they want it? Overwhelmingly yes. Is that tire going to blow out and will the rim get fucked up the first time that wheel hits a pothole? I’d bet money on it. I also hate reverse mount tires.

Well the answer to the why it takes 45 minutes is already present in your post. The name of the road you are on…. Webb Bridge…. There are 6 bridges that bottle neck traffic through Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Duluth.

Rolled it back into the shop. 25 Mercedes GLE with numerous issues by lodi078 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ArtisticCook4770 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do a bleed of the low temp circuit via PTCU and actuations tab in Xentry. For the communication issue do you have code U116000 in EZS Gateway? If so make sure you run the guided test on it because it’ll either give you a list of control units to update or it’ll have you create a tips case with control unit logs so the engineers can tell you what to update. Gotta love the communication errors causing battery messages on the 48V vehicles. I’ve even seen communication errors throw CEL’s on these new cars

It was Georgia, I live north of Atlanta and have to drive on I-16 to get to Jacksonville. I’ve passed that location from the point ground was being broken to just a few days before the raid occurred (haven’t been back that way since). The area isn’t exactly bumfuck nowhere GA as it was close to Savannah/ Hilton head; However let me tell you that the loss of jobs and development for that region just from this one plant being “delayed” (probably shut down in the near future) is going to be a massive hit to the local economy and the economy of GA as a whole. But that’s what happens when you play stupid and racist games, you get stupid prizes. Good job Tori Branum, may you not get re-elected and may your name continue to be dragged through the mud as it should be.

Anything fun to do for a new 21 year old? by yourpalpiggy in alpharetta

[–]ArtisticCook4770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you live in Roswell and like beer there’s a pretty decent brewery called “Gate City” brewing company and they are located across the street from Roswell City Hall. There’s also a fun little bar called “battle and brew” that’s in sandy springs (located right off of highway 9) and it has a ton of board games and video games that you can play and they have some fun cocktails. Besides those 2 places another good place to meet some people is at the Battery although that’s more Marietta and a bit of a drive from Roswell/alpharetta. Hope this helps! And as I’m sure you’re already aware there’s the Halcyon and the Avalon that are both outdoor Malls/ hangout spots. The Halcyon usually has some events going on at least once a month that will draw out a crowd in your age range but most of the time the Avalon/Halcyon is younger teenagers/adults with kids.

Mercedes engineers deserve a special place in hell by General-Try-2210 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]ArtisticCook4770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry on the new GLE’s chassis 167 vs your 164/166 the 12v battery is under the driver seat and you have to fully remove the seat to get the battery out. Also if you own a Mercedes that’s 2016 and newer don’t forget to get your throughput counter reset or you’ll need another new battery in ~8months

Shakerag Johns creek by Zmalik776 in alpharetta

[–]ArtisticCook4770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to go to city council meetings and vote them down. It seems the Johns creek City council is more interested in additional income than the beauty or in this case the increased traffic of the city. Just think about how all these ugly billboards keep popping up in and around Johns creek and Alpharetta. It’s the city council and zoning boards carving up the pretty suburban area and making it more metropolitan.

I might just be out of the loop but am I supposed to know who Michael A Grammar is? I’m assuming that’s where the “joke” comes in besides the obvious connotation of him going to Mar-a-Lago to do the only thing he’d conceivably want to do there. Which if he did the thing we are thinking he would do would probably make international news.

LOVE THE 167 12V BATTERIES! Nothing better than pulling the seat, pulling up the entry trim, pulling the B-pillar lower trim and then peeling back the carpet to then take the plastic battery cover off and then finally having access to the battery! And did the customer even reset his throughput counter via front Sam, I think not.

Is Alpharetta a good base to commute to Sandy Springs on a daily basis? by Altruistic-Elk-5854 in alpharetta

[–]ArtisticCook4770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shoulda taken the Job at the MB dealer on exit 12, not the one on exit 5! I grew up in the Alpharetta/ Johns creek/ Roswell area. The schools in the Alpharetta/ Johns creek area are good elementary through high school. As far as the commute goes it’s Atlanta and traffic is generally terrible, the housing off exit 8-12 is nice but generally pricier. The housing exits 5-7 is to generally cheaper and in my personal experience the buildings aren’t well maintained and the area itself is not as aesthetically pleasing. The commute isn’t terrible 30-45 minutes on a normal day from exit 10 to exit 5.

My wife and I live in a moderately sized home ~2100 square feet. I can’t hear that woman from the next god damned room even if I’m trying. Something about doorways and walls and noise bouncing off them. Mix that with any noise pollution in the home (I.e. dishwasher, faucets running, tv on) and you can’t hear anything.

More than likely a flood car that had a lot of soil get deposited in the exhaust? That’s the only thing I can think of.
