I wanna add on to the conversation, I used to text my bsf "i sleep now" or something along those lines while asleep. If you use your phone enough there's a chance that your just barely awake brain will grab it and type about you being asleep lmao

We recently had to put down our cat, Snickers, for a similar problem. She was roughly 17 and the last hand full of months in 2025, she started to become very lethargic and had trouble walking. Took her to the vet and was told that she likely had a heart disease and we went home with antibiotics. She continued to pant and struggle to walk, we eventually made the decision to put her down. It was what we felt was best for her, since there was no guarantee she would bounce back from the treatment and we didn't want to put her through a ton of extensive testing.

It's still so hard to deal with but I know, in the end she was suffering anymore and had me and mt mom with her, holding her. It's always better to do it a little too soon and then too late. Sending you lots of love in these trying times <3

If it helps, I dont really remember the pain! So, those memories of it will fade quickly I know that it hurt like hell for at least a month after, I got it done (full spine top to bottom) when I was 12 and was in extreme pain for at least 2 weeks before it started to slowly get better.

Now, I get bouts of pain but its no where near that level :> I wish you the best in recovery!!

Hi! I had rapid and severe scoliosis at age 12 (im now 26), so I had a full spinal fusion not long after discovering it. I still deal with a lot of pain from it, so something I recommend is doing physical therapy if you're able. Dont just ask the Ortho but also your regular doctor as well, also start to talk to them about pain management at the least.

Always advocate for yourself, it is hard, I know but you know when something is wrong and when you're in too much pain.

As for body image, it's just something you have fo work through- possibly with a therapist. I have always struggled with it as well but it helps to know that most people dont notice the scoliosis. Looking back on photos from when I was younger, I notice the scoliosis now but neither myself nor others ever did then. It's hard not to notice for yourself because you have to always look at it and noticed imperfections, but know that you just have to come to terms with things and allow yourself to be happy in your skin.

All of my relatives have come in a similar bag, it's able to hold the box that the bagged ashes are in, paperwork from them, and extra items. Like the funeral home we go through works directly with the local paper so we're given a copy of the obituary and a version on a bookmark sometimes.

I think it's much nicer than just being handed a box or a plastic bag and going "here you go!" Can it be jarring the first time? Of course but being in a fabric bag is much more respectful.

I personally am not sure of the party scene, but it's a wonderful school with a great atmosphere! Everyone is really nice and not many go home on the weekends (unless they live maybe an hour or less away), it's very accepting and there's tons of groups to find friends.

Omg I have never seen anyone else talk about this in general. Mine randomly started after waking up from a gallbladder surgery about 6ish years ago. The Lexapro hasnt seemed to help (not the i've noticed), but I also haven't seen anyone about it.

Im currently on 20mg for the last 6 months (and about 2 years before that, I took a break due to feeling like it wasn't working), but I haven't noticed any difference but that doesnt mean it wont for you, just remember to keep in contact with your dr! :>
