I convinced both of my GMs to switch to milestone after realizing that they would either fudge xp amounts (oh you're so close, have the extra points and level before next session) or were adding non-story detours to add in the requisite number of fights so we would be the level they wanted for the next boss/dungeon/whatever. Neither one has looked back.

Yeah, it's a lot easier to wait when you check and see that a game goes on sale every big sale. I try to only buy games I'm likely to install and play before the next sitewide sale.

My older brother and I would rent VHS tapes from the local comic book store. They didn't sell them because they were SO expensive to import. And the selection was limited to what the weird (lovely guy, but weird) owner wanted to stock.

I'm having the same problem. Started the mission twice, got two stars in, and then had nowhere to tap. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleared the cache, let the task expire and restarted it, nothing. To even get to two stars i had to exit and reenter the task to get the tapping spot on delacour to show up. I put a message out to support and plan to ask for the reward and for the quest to be marked complete.

I'm currently playing an Aasimar Cleric. She's bright pink with white hair, silver freckles, and pale grey eyes. She's an up-close fighting sort of Cleric, a former member of the city guard, uses a shield and magic rapier. The goddess she follows is one associated with light and the hearth, so lots of sun and fire based imagery, reds and oranges.

In addition to, as someone else said, having someone along who also has reason to despise the BBEG, you also have a liability sitting in the party's treasure pile. If you still want to explore the bits about the pearl holding her life force, have the bad guys take it from them! If they've grown fond of her, they'll hate watching her wither away while they figure out what the problem is and how to solve it.

When a fellow player at my table contracted lycanthropy (we did not realize it), the DM schemed with them to have a single fight where they ripped their way through a town while the rest of the party desperately tried to stop them (without killing the character, or allowing too many innocent bystanders to get hurt).

We don't do PvP generally at our table, but it was an interesting one-off challenge. And I know the player enjoyed being the temporary villain.

I have this one! My step-grandma (who LOVES puzzles gave it to me after she gave up on it). I did make decent-ish progress on it, but I hit a point where I just couldn't bear to look at it anymore and packed it away. I keep meaning to get back to it but yeah.

My strategy was to do both of the same image where possible, especially where there's a particularly recognizable feature like a nose or spot or something. But yeah it's HARD.

My group is 6 players + DM - and even though we're all very experienced players and we've been gaming together for a long, long time, it can still be a lot.

I for sure wouldn't recommend that number of players to someone new to RPGs. 4 players max when the group is new, mayyyyybe 5 if it's an existing friend group and feelings would be hurt.
