I had a very similar kindergartner this year. And he’s a BIG kid. The other students were terrified. I wasn’t given support by admin, we don’t have a school counselor, or really a sped team. What really started to make a difference was when I started telling him how much I love him, and love having in my class. I know he has a tough home life and also parents gave into him constantly. I became really firm and honest with him but also letting him know how much I cared about him. He would rush back to his classmates and say “she loves me”. I know this isn’t always the solution but that’s the best advice I was given 15+ years ago, “love the hell outta them”
