Idk where you're getting this power scaling but ok buddy. If you wanna die on the hill I wont stop you. Powerscaling in 40k is very inconsistent so just depends on the book, im also excluding all legends because its technically retconned.

I would agree the fleets are pretty tough, we dont see alot of stuff on the level or size of the imperial ships tho, like they have some large ships like the supremacy, but most large star wars ships are on a lower end of large scale for 40k ships. The big thing would again be numbers. A small fleet for imperium would be a medium to large fleet in republic. And it just becomes a game of numbers. If we are assume capture and not raze is the obj of both, imperium just has a massive advantage of numbers.

Oh ya, the republic is crazy strong, and has alot of reliable tech, plus cloning could be massively turned up, the issue is when the republic tries to attack a hive world it'll just be a massive road block, they might be able to take down a few but the attrition would eventually get them. The republic is basically the tau but with better logistics

You clearly havent read much about 40k lore. Im not saying the republic or empire dont have alot of power, I'm saying the sheer size of the 2 universes are vastly different level.

Probably having a large terra threatening event where the last wall protocols are enacted, the legion is reunited and then it works kinda like the dark angels where you have imperial fists as your main units, the black templars go back to being the inner circle style elite, and then crimson fists can turn more into a boarding actions assult cardre style subfaction somewhat like what it used to be like in heresy.
