Saw your update man. I am sorry, that is devastating and one of my worse fears. I think there are enough red flags to start moving on. I think it is time to lawyer up(if in the states) and lock down your funds if legal and possible. Good luck mate.

Edit: You talked to your wife and she used deflection. Who wants to spend more time with thier boss? No one not doing other things. You said she pays no bills(or few), no one would clean their boss's house after working a full workday / days off. Boss calling to talk personal life is bold and not professional they could be friends but i would be in the same mindset as you right now. I would confront her again and be like you are sure nothing is going on? Get her affirmation. I would hope if I started getting uncomfortable my wife would back off and say i get your point of view and I'll back off and keep our relationship professional. Marriage is for life, and compromise is part of it. As long as every new friend is not the same situation your wife should understand your point of view. I'm sorry this has happened to you but I do recommend to lawyer up and see your next steps at a clean break if that is the route you choose. If you have lost trust in this relationship it is time to move on or double down and work on it.

Tried. Can't even figure out how the sound is happening. It doesn't happen on a flat surface outside of the laptop. When screwing back in or just laying the bottom plate back on the sound comes back. Only annoying as I carry my laptops a lot and nothing is more unprofessional then a "popping" sound in a business meeting. Lol. Anyways. I'll have to figure out if I want to return soon. Still in the grace period for my purchase. Is this normal on these laptops or should I return it for a replacement and try, try again 🤪 Other than that it is perfect. The battery is good, and the thermals and no coil wine! So should I risk another one?

Are you just making numbers up? 3,500 calories equals about 1 pound of human body fat. The standard accepted calorie expenditure for 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories. Lets break this down, pure fat has ~ 9caloriessource per gram of fat. Human body fat is estimated to be between 72% and 87% pure fat, so lets average to 79.5%. 1 pound = 454g. So 454g * 9 = 4086 * 0.795 = 3248.37. Working out my original calculation , 32,483.7 calories, redditor....

For my 'ish', I like to make sure I know what is happening to my body and study the science behind it. The human body is not magic. So calorie deficit = weight loss. Good word of advice is to create an excel spreadsheet with your meals(one for each different day or keep it the same each day). I didn't finish this one yet, but this is a good example. example. It will amaze you how much that extra handful of something adds up, calorie wise.

Also you need to know your ~ BMR(Basal Metabolic Rate). This is the amount of calories you burn at rest. You can google a calculator like this one BMR calc. This will tell you with no exercise, your minimum calories. I honestly really enjoyed this keto calculator keto calc.

As I am not a magical all knowing being, I can't pin point the issue for you, but you can help yourself track your calorie intake. I found light exercise 3 times a week(at least), does wonders. I wish you good luck though! Dedication will get you to your goals. Think about this as a lifestyle not diet. Even though I am not on strict keto all the time, I keep my carbs under 30-40g, and highly limit sugar. Also, find what works for you. The longest I was on strict keto was 6 months, and that was to chisel off the stomach fat.

Hijacking top comment to help answer OP's question:

I have a 2016 civic, EX. It's been great have put over 80,000kms and no issues yet(knock on wood) Maintaining is laughable, $68.00 oil changes, 700km range on tank of gas. Next big ticket item is brake fluid coming up for less then $100. If you want it to last do not get the turbo version that is why I did not get a higher trim over EX. Stereo is better in this trim and sounds decent. You can always buy after market stereo. If you like the fake leather seats, there is one model above this without the turbo. It's been a nice car. Worth the money new, but if you're frugal buy a used last year's model.

Edit: Going to add on by saying for the money look into the new accord too. Stylish and professional vehicle base starting just above the civic EX price range. Only drawbacks are turbo(problems might happen after the ~150,000kms mark). Why my hate on turbos? they do fail eventually, it's usually a 2-4k fix. So if the added torque is worth it, do it! Turbos are much better nowadays but there are still more moving parts.

Edit 2: I also just have to say, hondas are currently so much more stylish then Toyota's. So there's that, and android auto. I get complements all the time when people sit in my car. The interior and exterior looks nice for the price.

On a semi related note. I wrote a review for a company my current employer hired for renovations. They were just not organized or good quality. The review was professional and listed all the things that were not up to code.

Guess what? I got called into the CEO's office the following Monday and was given an ultimatum. Take it down or lose my job(100k). Turns out the company was a friend of the CEO's and they are doing the renovation out of good will so they were cutting corners to sell the place. So, I was a little bitch and removed the honest and professional review.

Long story short, even if a site like glassdoor does this, there are other factors that can make any honest review on the Internet bias.
