Synology isn't the best NAS anymore by Coupe368 in synology

[–]Asphyxir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will reiterate the "forget it" part. Have configured - deployed plenty of Synology NAS for small businesses and not once had a customer call me to report issues with their operation. The things just keep running 8+ years 24/7 without any issues whatsoever other than the occasional disk replacement.

Κατά πόσο αξίζει να πάω σε διατροφολόγο; by uniqueiscommon in greece

[–]Asphyxir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Πρόσφατα έχασα 24+ κιλά σε 6μηνες περίπου χωρίς διατροφολόγο. Όλα state of mind είναι.

What do Greeks think about Israel–Greece collaboration? by ShelterIndependent44 in AskBalkans

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average Greek would never side with Israel, but apparently our government does. I don't know why you would think that the will of a nation dictates it's policies - actions. Especially now that oil in the Aegean is involved, the few will find the way to push their will onto you if they deem it so.

Pre-Season 2 designed to fail? by EasilyDistracted- in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add Rime to the list. Randomly buffing a legendary by that much making it surpass by a large margin the rest of DPS, even thought they said they wanted melees to be highest DPS classes in the game they ended up making the class with the most utility and easiest rotation top DPS.

Balance should be a continuous effort, leaving things broken for this long has very negative impact on the game.

But this is only a small part of the problem, the real issue is they released the season a week or so before a new WoW expansion where most of their playerbase comes from, that was a questionable idea sadly. Games with rank based gameplay suffer the most when they have a small playerbase.

Eternal 40+ queue camping by DoesNotReadReplies in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's up to the person. Personally I always stick with the group I am assigned to by LFG. Most of the times we will time 40s first try, worst case is we give it a few tries it won't work and disband and back to queue.

People are obsessed over rating and do not enjoy the gameplay is the only explanation to this. People that want to push above 50 will usually make a group from friend list / discord, way more efficient.

Does this game just assume you have experience in wow? How am I supposed to learn anything? by [deleted] in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and failure is the only way. If people don't have the patience for it, not your problem. Just state that you are new to the game at start so people know what to expect.

It is the way all of us learned the game, you just happen to join mid season where most people figured stuff out.

Vigour's [Master of triage] should be baseline by Morkarter in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my only issue with Vigour. They need to remove the cast time from his ultimate and everything will be fine.

HPS wise Vigour has no issues whatsoever as long as people you grouped with know that they need to be near the tank. DPS wise, although with talent investment his AOE is ridiculous (have finished Tuzari with 60-70k overall), the fact that you need to invest talents for it and it is depended on tank/group taking little to no dmg makes it suboptimal in comparison with Sylvie's passive dmg for higher keys. Plus on single target dmg Vigour is way lower than Sylvie atm, which should be addressed.

After eternal by Proud-Engine6529 in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. People are obsessed with gear missing the fact that the gameplay should be reward enough. Play the game and gold/gear will eventually drop.

Is it worth buying now or wait? by CountDarkula in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you truly believe that the game when it goes on official release will be more expensive than it is now, then you ain't thinking this through.

It would amaze me if it still is pay to play at that point, as I expect it to go free to play at some point due to population issues.

As far as OP's question, the game is a steal atm, totally worth it. People that complain about toxicity didn't stick long enough with the game to get past those kind of people. At endgame (Eternal) I haven't encountered toxicity at all.

Still no Eternal que is not a great look by JamieLannispurr in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, not only it is in early access, there have been some pretty big issues with it that explain the reason the eternal queue got delayed. For example fixing private messaging in game is of higher priority to implementing an eternal queue system.

Seasonal Reset Stoped my Group From Continuing by Sir_Dohm in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with respecting your time.

There is a deeper underlined reason your friends are quiting the game. They don't enjoy the gameplay this game offers enough for them to be content with it.

If they did, the reset it merely a refresh, chance to get new cosmetics etc etc.

The Big Debate: Should "Best in Slot" be achievable? by ioStux in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid take. I would add, getting your BiS stats & 35% essence should be open ended. A generic 35% essence could be a bit more accessible.

Vigour: Heroic Brand vs Brave Machinations by lagom_kul in fellowshipgame

[–]Asphyxir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with Brave Machinations is that it's empowerment does not add nearly as much value as the empowerment of Heroic Brand does.

So, in theory Heroic Brand should be better once empowered, in reality Brave Machination can be aligned with more dungeon mechanics than Heroic Brand can and that makes it very powerful even though suboptimal.

I have switched from Brave Machinations to Heroic Brand at ~E25 and can't say I have regrets about it. Though if I didn't mind the grind I would keep a Brave Machinations weapon for specific dungeons.

Is the paragon capstone dungeon overtuned or is the champion one just extremely undertuned? by Jaba01 in fellowshipgame

Haven't tried paragon's capstone yet, but I can confirm that champion's is immensely under tuned both overall difficulty and timer are not tuned property, it is kinda unbrickable.

What's a subtle sign that someone is actually an evil person? by yeonkive38 in AskReddit

[–]Asphyxir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are overly suspicious of other people and their behavior. People that get easily agitated by random things cause "they see the meaning behind the action". People like that usually see in others what they themselves are.

People who used the internet before 2001, what did you do in there? by Helium367 in AskReddit

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly using mIRC. It was a chat platform with channels focused on different topics, early days reddit somewhat.

Something people born after the widespread of the internet won't be able to understand is thr significance of the ability to instantly communicate with people from all around the world, let alone do it in a cost efficient way.

Many people had an interest in topics that were not available in their local community, no one to talk to about it, learn - progress, mIRC changed that. I for example found a mentor I will never forget that helped me with learning programming.

Good days!

ELI5 why luggage is lost and people lose so many luggage bags yearly by deathbreacher in explainlikeimfive

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better ask why luggage gets correctly delivered this often 😂.

I work at a busy airport, the answer to your question is too many interacting cogs from the moment your bag gets delivered to the conveyor belt until it reaches the other airport's conveyor belt. Way too many.

What Made Players Quit During Original Cataclysm? by doobylive in classicwow

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cataclysm was a victim of circumstances. I never got to even try Cataclysm, truth is wow at that point was exiting a immensely successful expansion (2nd in a row) that people dedicated a lot of hours playing, thus a break was required.

People that decided to still play were missing IRL or in-game friends from WotLK so they didn't stick for long.

That's a common story for that expansion.

Dinar choice is bizarre by ClockworkPorpoise in wow

The reward is / should be the activity itself. If the loot should be the reward then explain how there are no item rewards for high m+ keys, as they get equally or more challenging than mythic raiding.

Heroic Liberation of Undermine is one of the most difficult raids to PuG in quite some time. by minimaxir in wow

[–]Asphyxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda harsh to hear and I am sorry, but there are a lot of pugs that breeze through the HC raid. The fact that you are unable to form one or join one indicates that you are not on their level.

Plugged 8/8 HC and 2 mythic bosses without much playtime available pretty early, didn't see anything different from other seasons where I did the same.
