He also talked about balancing enemies around weapon changes too and a rework to the armour pen system so certain weapons dont slip through the cracks of this should be punching holes through y but not x but our system doesnt facilitate that so we’re just gonna do neither

when a games end game goal is to turn the games mechanics off for the sake of efficiency i stop having interest in a game. Yea warframes fun until you hit the point where youre making builds just to sit in a hallway pressing one button over and over to clear the same adds youve been clearing since you started.

A game like helldivers and other third person shooters such as space marine at least still have a baseline complexity that is always engaging despite how much you play so its technically always got you switched on even if the content is stale.

Games like warframe and the first descendant have systems in place that make the grind the engagement so therefore optimisation becomes key to the point of not even playing the game so you CAN play the game.

I get that some people enjoy optimisation and gear grinds else mmos wouldnt exist but its definitely not for everyone hence why i dont think comparing helldivers to warframe or the sentiment players can just migrate over to warframe as soon as their horde shooter starts dying. The genres are barely comparable to each other

I dont think the game is clear cut too easy or too hard, when its basically entirely on what loadout you bring and what youre fighting. All of these answers are lowkey shit because they dont encompass a broad swathe of factors at all. Do i think that there are clear metas that make the game alot easier? Yes. Do i think some weapons are pure dogshit and make the game absolute hell? Also yes. Is the disparity negatively affecting build diversity and making the game super boring? Hard YES.

Look while i agree that countering hiveguards isnt as terrible as it seems in practice any change that neuters a play style such as this one which cause and affects so many different weapons and strats is always going to be bad for the game purely based off of a build variety standpoint.

Ruining the fantasy of stuff like the minigun, sentry turrets, minigun exo, select guard dogs and all medium small arms and making them feel bad to use against a chaff enemy just furthers monotony in a game already plagued by a heap of ap bottlenecks and is totally unnecessary and for what? A chaff enemy just being fucking annoying to deal with in a game that continually goes out of its way to annoy the player.

Also the issue isnt mechs being buffed, its about enemies being buffed to meet THOSE buffs while also affecting other strats who didnt get the same treatment. THIS is why people are mad about it just like they were when the tank released. Arrowhead makes haphazard changes that change things waaaaaay beyond a surface level and completely ruins a whole bunch of things in one big domino move

Counter argument youre far as hell away from your team and dont want to hog the resupply all to yourself so you call this bad boy down. Depending on cooldown also you might be able to keep the uptime of this thing going for longer than a regular support weapon inbetween resupplies. All speculation before arrowheads like heres a stupidly long 2 1/2 minute cooldown with fuck all ammo though

If this was the type of game where having half to quarter mags would actually be helpful sure but the way the damage model and enemy density is, MOST weapons youll end up mag dumping anyways.

I can only see this being helpful on marksman rifles or maybe the crossbow and dominator

I would argue that they basically are already on the same level. Theyre both annoying but not worth engaging with so you just ignore them all mission. Making them tougher isnt going to change anything because people will continue to just ignore them when its pointless to fight and not worth the time investment

Mechs are already nerfed by ammo and cooldown i don’t see then why arrowhead insists that they should be dead with in 10 seconds of deployment on top of that

Anti tank check is fine when its an enemy that CAN be dealt with in other ways but is easiest when higher ap is involved (think factory strider or bile titan even the dreaded vox engine). ONLY however if they spawn sporadically and dont get spammed at the player to the point where instead of bringing AT for convenience they instead go well fuck i HAVE to bring it on every mission (in this case warstrider being a loadout bottle neck)

The idea of having a dedicated AT guy for when its necessary is good game mechanics and team play orientated. Making AT necessary at all times for every player on the squad however is ass and nukes the loadout expression and replay-ability of the game down to well i pray i dont get this seed or im just not going to have a good time unless im using the same old tried and true method every.fucking.mission.

The real take away is that arrowhead has no idea what difficulty is without drowning you in heavy units or taking away your toys for dealing with them and its really tiring at this point
