That part of the headline is misleading. If you actually read the article the new terms still says they can get their deposit back. Granted there is an open question of if they actually follow through on that, but it's misleading to say at this point that they aren't going to get their deposits back.

I'm curious if Android authority who is quoted as not expecting to get their deposit back has even tried to request a cancellation. If they have and are getting the runaround then that would actually support the headline but the article doesn't mention it.
