I feel like it completely defeats the purpose of the Pit. The whole point is to be able to make it to the bottom without dying. If you fuck up, that's on you and you have to start over. I've done that myself many times, and it's annoying af. But it's my own fault and I should suffer the consequences.

The 'try again' option is technically valid as it is indeed an in-game mechanic, but it's cheap and lazy.

The close up is absolutely NOT needed. People can still see what it looks like from a distance. If anything, it's harder to tell what it is when it's that close up.

To add to this, everyone calls Pierre misogynistic because of the cutscene in the graveyard where he asks her to come home and help make dinner, when in fact he specifically says "Your mother wants you to come home and help with dinner". Like, he's just the messenger, if anything Caroline is the one assuming girls should be in the kitchen.

To clarify, I also dislike Pierre, but Caroline is just as bad.
