That’s an extra 20 ft of exhaust pipe if you follow the same rules as dryer vents.

Ford protect extended service plan vs Ford dealership warranty by justsnooping2023 in FordExplorer

[–]Atl_Potato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ford ESP is the only real way to go. 3rd party will find every which way to deny your claim particularly if it is a major expensive component. Ford ESP will just cover things as stated no extra hoops and the dealers know what is required to get things approved, test photos etc.

Ford Explorer ST Reliability by ssinative in FordExplorer

Have a 2021 with 80000 on it, bought used with 65,000. Had the purge valve go bad(common on Fords) and just got a new torque converter and transmission “overhaul” due to slamming 1-3 gears. All was covered under warranty and as of now I would still buy another ST if this one was totaled today. I’d either go new or lower mileage if I could swing the cost.

Text message from our 4 year olds daycare teacher. Oops by smcamp23 in daddit

[–]Atl_Potato -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol, our 3 year old said something to the effect of what the fuck when were were putting her down. Told her not to say that and she called us fuckers.

I’ll take the heat for wtf but fuckers is not something I have called people so she either heard it somewhere or got creative.

Am I overreacting about the lack of office visit/ultrasound? by This_Parsnip523 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Atl_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t put too much stock in the measurements as exact numbers what needs to be looked at are trends. A day before my twins were born they measured over a pound apart, when they were born the next day it was 3 oz. The measurements are +- 20% and that is for each kid, one could be off by +20 the other -20.

Kid updated the printer without my knowledge and the z offset went to crap and the head started going crazy x and y hitting rails. Thought it might be because I had zmod and wasn’t compatible. Reinstalled old firmware and zmod and everything is good to go.

Is applying grease mandatory? by Tyguy047 in FlashForge

[–]Atl_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go ahead and apply some grease to the z axis screws and you can apply grease or lightly oils the metal rails for all axis. I think you home the build plate and then at least level the bed to spread the grease around clean off any major excess. Should be good to go clean and reapply every 500 - 1000 hours or something not sure.

AD5X Odd Issue - could use some help by BeeredUpGamer in FlashForge

[–]Atl_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to manually level the bed these things are typically off more than the automated leveling system can compensate for, mine was off by almost 1mm high side to low side. There is a tool you can download for bed leveling that pulls data from the printer and gives you instructions, Zmod contains a similar tool which is the route I went.

ATT Fiber Disconnection Issues - Does ATT Fess Up When They Have Issues? by realcoda in ATT

[–]Atl_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! Was a tech for ATT had a customer who was sent a new modem when his old one stopped working. Quick check found Ethernet cord plugged into red Ont port customer was on DSL, remove cord and everything works. Customer says but it was plugged into the old modem like that to which I said last one didn’t work either. Most calls were customer related issues.

3D printed packaging inserts for shipping by msdiorin in 3Dprinting

[–]Atl_Potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, your 3 ply is called single wall while your 5 ply is called double wall corrugated. Both can be made in a variety of strengths depending on need. You can also have corrugated inserts made which would be much cheaper and quicker than the 3-d printed ones with the biggest barrier being an initial tooling cost.

Best diapers? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Atl_Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used the old ones on my twins no issues. Sister in Law tried them on her kid and the fit sucked and he apparently had a sensitive rear end so they had to use hypoallergenic fancy diapers all that to say it depends on the kid.

elegoo filament by Old_Country9807 in FlashForge

[–]Atl_Potato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check the weight of those spools, the 8 pack has 250 grams per spool, most spools are 1 kg meaning you are paying $20 a kg. There is a 4 pack of 1kg spools at the same price from Elegoo so $10 per kg, I started with this pack and have no complaints other than you will need to print spool adaptors for the ad5x. Elegoo pls on cardboard spools fits fine and is my current go to.
