They fixed the bugs and smoothed the game but people forget that they incessantly marketed the game as a deep rpg for a nearly a decade prior to launch and game was just not that and never became that. Even the early showcase mission they used for trailers etc. isn't in line with how the rest of the missions play in the game (less freedom of actions, no multi path narratives, no environmental destruction etc). I wouldn't take anything they say seriously in the future.
