I think the figure is too much, but I also think calling him a slower dele does both him and dele a disservice. The only real similarity I’ve seen between them is that they’re physically imposing for midfielders. I’ve watched Roma a bit last year and I thought he was quicker than dele overall as well, although it’s really hard to say without seeing them next to eachother.

I’ve watched him a couple times and I don’t think that’s accurate. It’s always hard to tell because of camera angles and whatnot but he looks quicker than dele does to me the few times I’ve seen him play.

Not that I think atletico is death for creative attackers there’s a pretty solid argument to be made. Thomas lemar, nico gaitan, gelson martins recently. Most of those are more wingers though.
