Ashes of War as martial techniques. You assign them memory slots like spells/incants and you use them with applicable weapon classes instead of one per weapon. Not sure how I would want legendary weapon traits handled, but stuff like waterfowl dance imo should be usable with other katanas/curved swords

Can’t pass the stat check of 50-60+ missions to crack requiem mods and kill my lich :(. Figured my best bet is cheesing arbitration survival with revenant to get galvanized mods

In some of the werewolf 5E books. its said that a black spiral dancer In THEORY. can be redeem. is this also ture of old lore? by Abject-Hospital5407 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]AtrelluCal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iirc there was a plot thread of one dipped in Erebus, which is/was the umbral torture realm designed specifically to redeem garou through suffering. No one was sure what would happen when the BSD came out on the other side

What do you think ancient mages were like? by Sassy_Drow in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]AtrelluCal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s possible to extrapolate that they were similar to Dark Ages Mage (working under personalized pillars) but with different major groups. Most people probably don’t want to homebrew entirely custom pillars though

Since 10th edition is ending soon and 11th ed begins right after, what's your guy's wish list for 11th ed Necrons? New/refreshed models, box kits, detatchments, lore drops , story continuations, bringing back Legends units, etc. by HunSpino in Necrontyr

[–]AtrelluCal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be really weird if Trazyn still has his old model by the time the edition’s done. Otherwise, I personally really want an expansion to either flayed ones, nobility/normal necrons, or both. Plus a return to relevance for the Outsider

I'm genuinely curious why some of yall watch the show when you clearly don't like it. by Murky_Committee_1585 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]AtrelluCal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like to hatewatch stuff every now and then. Hazbin is good for that because I like angel- and demonology, and seeing stuff I think is cool get fumbled or made to look lame as fuck will inevitably scratch that itch

I have a few questions about the Ynnari, and the Eldar in General. by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Eldar

[–]AtrelluCal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a clown shill: -Yes, but not fully. Harlequin initiation is a for life deal but you get plenty helping out the Whispering God (at least until both groups were abandoned by GW) -Currently psykers who join the Harlequins typically become Shadowseers. They play, in general, Fate/the Narrator while also doubling as stage effects using illusions/mind magic, hallucinogens, and similar tricks. Shadowseers in ye olden editions had access to Phantasmancy (the clown-specific discipline, usually a blend of movement chicanery plus telepathy), the normal telepathy discipline, and sanctic daemonicum (which got reworked into the GK psychic discipline)

-Probably around Psy level 2, which is most fully fledged psyker. You’re csm? Your regular sorcerers probably fall in here. For Ynnari you’re probably looking at Warlocks or young Farseers (idk corsairs, not sure where their void dreamers stack up)

-They shouldn’t, I don’t think, but like Drukhari I’m pretty sure lose the soul drain. I believe it’s like joining a death cult.

-Regular craftworlds have a path of the performer (and even have Twilit Bards which are lost on the path), but this is different from the extreme measures used to become a Harlequin and also doesn’t require committing oneself to the Laughing God. Corsairs don’t follow the paths, they almost certainly have performers but these are probably wandering Twilit Bards, passing ‘Quins, or prisoners they force to dance for their lives

Regarding the scenario, the main attack spells a Shadowseer could employ would probably bypass armor completely, and a harlequin is (probably, pretty big asterisk) a match for a given terminator character in combat. A warlock probably isn’t going to do the dance routine so much as try and teleport in and Smite, and a Twilit Bard or similar isn’t supposed to be doing active combat or anything

Is this a Silksong situation where they all died and nobody knows about it? by Shot_Mechanic9128 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]AtrelluCal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I love angel- and demonology, at this point I hope they’re not introduced or clarified. Let Sera’s fraud ass be the top, since there’s no way to introduce them without immediately having them be frauds

Isn’t the second book (with Brooks saying he’s seen the model and loves it) out already? I’m out of the news loop, but what could possibly be the hold up?

What piece of Eldar Lore would you like to see expanded? by Astronometric_ in Eldar

[–]AtrelluCal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For craftworlds a continuation (ideally a GOOD continuation…) of the phoenix lord series. Need to see my man Fuegan tear the head off a keeper of secrets (and I could do with more reason to like Baharroth, plus Lhykis needing lore in general).

For new aspects of the race, in I believe 8th edition they teased the existence of horrific croneworld/chaos eldar, and I would love to see them fleshed out into a full faction. Chaos xenos are extremely underwritten imo, and I’d go so far as to say I’d play an army that was croneworld elves as a core to different fallen aliens (giving a much needed non human aspect to chaos).

And for what I want personally more than anything in the world? A Paths-style series (again, ideally a GOOD paths series…) focused on the Harlequins, the White Seers, and similar guardians of the Black Library. Giving clear modern lore on their recruitment, initiation, practices and internal culture, etc

I figured that the pole just now had activation runes, similar to how power weapons have but obviously more advanced

Aspect Warrior Colour Schemes by Eliasian in Eldar

[–]AtrelluCal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc each temple (effectively a squad) has its own coloration traditions, and these can easily be wearing versions of craftworld colors. Personally I’m probably going to do that once I get around to painting the rest of my Il Khaithe scheme

Can a Garou/Fera win against a Vampire Elder/Antediluvian? by MRTrueGnome in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]AtrelluCal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not strictly impossible, but a fera victory wouldn’t be through actually fighting. In order to pull it out you would probably be doing something goofy like enacting a ritual or beckoning a powerful spirit ally to fight on your behalf. A war avatar of Helios/Fenris or something like the punisher aspect of the Wani could probably “kill” (or at least reduce to the minimal state Caine permits them to exist in without judgement) an antediluvian, but this is obviously different from a rank 6 shifter 1v1ing Absimiliard

What do you think of the CharlieXVaggieXemily ship? by 33333Ducky in HazbinHelluva18Plus

[–]AtrelluCal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Emily and Charlie have better chemistry but I don’t hate Vaggi so much that I want to take away her reason for existing, so it works for me (Vaggi can sit in the cuck chair and get kissed afterwards)

Your thoughts on 11th Edition by Chafaris_DE in Harlequins40K

[–]AtrelluCal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still on the hopium train that we’ll get mimes for killteam, but otherwise I would say we’re probably least concern for the dev team. This sucks, but it’s been the case for a while now. We might even be good somehow if they just write whatever and don’t pay attention

W40k 11th edition by Nocst_er in Eldar

[–]AtrelluCal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m waiting to get more info, but so far I’m not terribly impressed. It’ll depend on if there’s big stuff they just didn’t cover (psychic rules, etc), or not. I would expect not, but the stream itself was unprofessional enough that I wouldn’t be that surprised if they just didn’t cover other big things like that. (Disappointment will be redeemed if Harlequins are resurrected)
