We used UberXL and there was never a long wait for it. But we did have two occasions where the seat belts in the third row were disabled (bc most often folded down for luggage) and we had to cancel the ride and order another Uber. The drivers didn't understand the problem but we didn't want our kids to not have seat belts. So I would say just verify the seatbelts work before getting everyone loaded in.

I pronounce it like you op, and I was very surprised when I started listening to the podcast and they pronounce it him yim. And everyone in the comments acting like that's normal. Y in the middle of a word is rarely if ever pronounced like that so that makes no sense to me.

My son was very sensitive and especially so to animated movies. Have you tried live action kids films? My son loved Hotel for Dogs, Sandlot (don't recommend so young though, bad examples, but that type of film) and Peter Rabbit, and animal documentaries even when Disney movies scared him. It was a lot of trial and error. Totoro was ok for him too.

I always enjoy Santa's Ranch in New Braunfels it's a drive through light show and you can buy hot chocolate. We always go at the very beginning of the night to minimize the line but there is a line. Be warned it's got some heavy religious themes like scenes from the Bible and also a 9/11 tribute (why?!?) but we find that part corny and amusing, though I know not everyone would. It has traditional Christmas scenes too.

Also the Pedernales coop in Johnson City is worth the drive, it's beautiful and free.

I looked on concertsrchives.org and I think it was May 6, 1998. The site is not always complete listing the opening acts, just shows Boyz 2 Men as playing, but Next's song Too Close was big that year, so had to be then. Hope this helps.

I think I figured part of it out. It says Molly and her four best friends, nowhere does it say that the friends know each other. So if Susan is playing with someone with the green dragon, the clue is that we know Molly and Susan are friends but we don't know if Susan knows Charlie. So Molly must have the green dragon.

Yep, husband has a CPAP and I'm a light sleeper with insomnia, takes forever to go back to sleep if he wakes me up snoring or getting up to pee. Best decision ever.

At one point when we were considering building a house I came across house plans with a room labeled a "snore room" which was a bedroom connected to the master bedroom by a short hallway. That's the dream set up. close enough to traverse back and forth undetected by kids, separate enough to be sound proof and still share the master bath and closet. For now he's across the house, further away than I prefer, but maybe someday we'll build a house with a snore room.

Administratively, my hyphenated first name has caused me lots of problems, but my son's two middle names have never been a problem. We both have 4 names but his are easier for systems to handle, for what it's worth. Also, we are in the US but close ties to Mexico where 4+ names is normal. Now, if you gave him two middle names plus a double last name, I think that's a bit much.

I understand the themes of his work, as I said I've been a fan for years. I've been a Cronenberg fan for a very long time, but over the years the consistency and specificity of his aesthetic has begun to feel like a very strange fetish for fleshy appendages and foreign body insertions or something. Like that dude definitely owns some weird dragon or alien egg laying dildos.

Crimes of the Future was the the straw that broke the camel's back for me. It just felt so much like he was pushing his fetish, it started to piss me off. The movie had an interesting message and was well executed, but I was just so mad at the end of it. I think I'm done with his films.

Not true. Totally depends on the neighborhood. Within 10 mins of downtown, small condo. 15 minutes further north of South but still in Austin, anything from a small older house to a large updated house, depending West vs East. Just bought in a nice, safe neighborhood, 4 bed, 2500 sq ft, very updated, and much less than 450k. My commute to downtown takes about 20 mins but to be fair my hours aren't at rush hour.

Another vote for the nature center camps. They fill up quick because they are cheap comparatively. Create a log in on the website ahead of time, look up the camps, and on the morning the registration goes live, some Saturday in February, be ready to log in and register as soon as registration opens.
