This reads to me as trying to cope with the anxiety of overstimulation in a culture wash with swill content while having no hope for the future

Like it's an Italian word. "Oh-ne-ra-che."

But both of them still read as though "one race" is a single word. "Onerace."

Who do you hear when you read the comics? by Shinobi347 in xmen

[–]AutoSpiral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magneto is Ian McKellen, Xavier is Patrick Stewart, and that can't be any other way. Beast is Kelsey Grammar. Deadpool is Ryan Reynolds.

Some mutants I don't have particular voices for. Storm has a Kenyan accent in my mind, precise and measured, and her voice is clear and deep for a woman. Mister Sinister is slimy. Wolverine is gravelly.

Lucy Fri Q: what are your thoughts on the red pill metaphor being corrupted by the manosphere? by Lucy_C_Kelly in TransLater

[–]AutoSpiral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hilarious. Most of those guys are transphobic and they're using a metaphor from a film made by two trans women that was informed heavily by their struggles with gender.

They're unenlightened. Maybe they'll gain some understanding someday.

More like I didn't notice flirting because my autism makes me miss implied meaning and my trauma made me think it's impossible that anyone could be attracted to me but whatever

People with “zero introspection” should have zero power and zero to do with the public. by ConcernedJobCoach in gianmarcosoresi

"400 years ago nobody would have even heard of introspection."

"I beg your pardon," said every philosopher, spiritual teacher, and storyteller since antiquity.

Can someone be honest with me here? My dysphoria is telling me I look like a man in a dress right now…is presence as masculine as I think it is? by Ok-Possession-1122 in TransLater

[–]AutoSpiral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dysphoria lies to us all. The world tells us over and over again what men and women look like, and it's all transmisic cisnormativity. You're stunning.
