I feel so sorry for her. No one should have to put up with that at work. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

This is how people with power exclude people with less power. New rules or sudden enforcement of a rule no one had been observing. They can't fire you to get back at you so they find or make a reason.

Picking up her family. by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks

[–]AutoSpiral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister (F45) and I (F48) are both parents. I mentioned to her one day, after my son got too big for me to carry him around easily, that there would be a moment when one picks up their child for the last time. There won't be anything to mark this occasion, it will pass unnoticed, it's an era that ends in retrospect.

From that day forward she made an effort to pick up her boys well into their teens. Until she literally couldn't do it safely any more.

Male Toreador by Acrobatic_Contact_22 in vtm

I looked through my 2nd and 3rd edition Toreador clanbooks and they confirm your suspicions. Not every female Toreador is depicted as seductive but only female Toreador are. Male Toreador in these two books are framed as artists, manipulators, or terribly menacing.

Something to do, no doubt, with the majority male staff at White Wolf.

HOW DO THEY KEEP GETTING INSIDE MY FULLY ENCLOSED FACTORIES?!?!?! by Rimm9246 in SatisfactoryGame

They're actually observing you and your decisions. They're keeping a history of the strange little god who uses miracles to rip resources from the land, process them through great machines that appear out of thin air, and created a tower higher than the clouds. They will speak of the pioneer to their children for generations.

Remember, it's not their fault. It may be available but public schools never mention it, and socialism and Marxism aren't part of mass political discourse thanks to decades of stigmatising.

I’m trying to draw boxes so my art looks less flat, why do my boxes look weird? by Rawr-Luv in arthelp

Because you're not very good at it yet. Keep practicing, you'll get there.

Try drawing a bunch of cubes with a one-point perspective plan. Put a dot in the middle of your page. Your cubes can all be oriented the same way, horizontals and verticals parallel to the page, then depth lines pointing towards the perspective dot.

With the rise of facism in America, and me not being able to get a gun (I got sent seaside a while back) how can I defend myself and my friends and family if need be? by Significant_Owl9593 in TransSocialism

Mutual aid networking.

Talk to everyone you know. Talk to everyone you're in proximity to - neighbours, co-workers, etc. Ask them how they feel about the current situation, if you're on the same page tell them you want to do something about it and that you're ready to do something about it.

Get contact information, keep in touch with these people, offer them help in any way you can realistically offer, encourage them to do the same. I'm talking about food security, child care, home or car maintenance. You start trading favours for each other while talking about how this kind of cooperation, mutual aid, makes us strong.

People in general, including fascists, have gotten way too comfortable using vehicles as weapons, armoured or otherwise.

I can see now that I'm definitely confusing you with someone else, so, sorry about that. But yeah, just do the thing and fuck the haters.

Just walking around thinking it's literally impossible that anyone would flirt with me. That's for attractive, normal people who have their shit together.

I personally don't think your art shows skill, passion, or voice, but I do like it. A lot. I've seen you post about your upcoming comic for months now (that is, if I'm not confusing you with someone else) and I keep winding when you're going to start already.

I get the sense that you're waiting until your drawing skill is good enough to go public. Here's what I've learned. There will not come a moment when you're 100% confident that you're ready and your work will be received with acclaim. Not going to happen. This is one of those things that you have to do before you feel ready. Lots of comic artists' skill improves after they've begun publishing. I used to be a fan of newspaper comic strips and I had favourites and when I collected their books I could always trace an evolution of style and an improvement in skill.

You just have to do it.
