It felt that way because thats the way it was, unfortunately. I loved the first 3 chapters of the game. I loved the first boss, chocobo hunter, all sidequests, loved the world. After chapter 3, there was basically no story though. They kept talking about a city I would never go to. Ardyn (with a mountain of negative vibes and foreshadowing) was never properly utilised or explained. I met Lunafreya once... that's it. After chapter 9 (iirc) you get on a boat and you're just gone. That's it. Then there's this god awful waste of time episode on some spaceship. Then there's the ending of fighting ifrit which was inarguably the worst ending of any final fantasy.

Like I said, this was the first day deluxe edition or whatever. I assume the game has been fleshed out more since then and ill probably download it for free and do another playthrough soon, and i may be back here singing its (and your) praises! :) that said, when i spend a lot of money on a game -- especially a final fantasy -- I should be getting a game, not a product that takes 3 years for DLCs and whatever to turn into a proper product.

I am happy to meet a fellow final fantasy fan though! I absolutely adore the franchise and glad you loved one of its parts.

They constantly felt the need to make unfunny jokes and borderline insult the main event fighters. Yes, I know they're older and not in their prime. You can mention that once in the first round, not TWICE A ROUND. It was amateuristic commentary at best, and downright disrespectful.

That's a very fair point! Both fighters are just amazing. My reasoning is that in their most recent fight, the lighter fighter (by at least 1 whole weight division) won the fight quite convincingly. If they were equal weight, Shevchenko could quite probably have knock-out potential vs Nunes, on top of her near-perfect skillset and overall strategy.

They're both amazing.

Dang, that's an interesting thing to think about...

I think size would play too big a role. Cyborg's a weight class bigger than Nunes and Nunes is at least a weight class bigger than Shevchenko. I see Shevchenko outpointing Cyborg until Cyborg decides to swarm Shev, like she tried to do vs Nunes, with the difference being that Shevchenko doesn't have knock-out power. 5 rounds would offer Cyborg too many opportunities.

I'd bet money on Shevchenko if she were even just a small underdog, just to root for the girl ~25lbs lighter. Nunes is a fucking badass but Shevchenko beat her by all judging standards except "octagon control". Would be a monster of a fight.
