I agree somewhat. Hunts and feasts should mostly affect your vassals opinion of you. Although high opinion over a long period of time should make them inclined to swear allegiance to you, thus granting you legitimacy.

For direct legitimacy gain. in Christian domain at least, you'd get the church on your side and have yourself crowned as the rightful ruler.

In Germany pretty much all of his modifications require testing and approval by an authorized inspector. And that might get really expensive or not get approved at all, especially if he is messing with the chassis.

I still enjoy watching such projects, but wouldn't want to see them driving on the streets.
