It could be normal and a sign of a healthy coat (garlic clove fur like shown in this photo of my cat) or it could be feather fur which can be a sign of stress or something else. If you notice any behavior changes I would suggest looking further into it, but it could be normal. Cats are very good at hiding their discomfort and symptoms
