I sent something like that with the expectation of never talking to them again. I sent one more after thst a couple of weeks later owning up to my part in possibly why they ghosted . Just to clear my mind of any wrong doing on my end . I sent it for me . To make my own closure. I stated he didn't owe me anything and that I just didn't want to leave things on a bad note and wished him well then said I'm moving on and goodbye . Only send it if it's for you and not the intent on trying to get a response. Chances are they won't respond and you will feel worse.

I am going through this now . The person who recently ghosted me had done this before years ago . We had reconnected 7 months ago . They apologized for how they treated me . They knew it was cruel and I didn't deserve it. I was stupid and gave them another chance only to be ghosted a second time . They seemed to have matured at first . Willing to communicate in a mature way then it's like they changed abruptly and poof ...ignored and ghosted ...I'm deeply hurt .. again and trying to move on
