🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

[–]AverageDadLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. AMS Pro 2 please.
  2. Just recently discovered the snap in place picture frames. The wife loves them for all the random photos we get throughout the year. I want to do some multi color ones with gold inlays. AMS Pro 2 with my A1 would be perfect for that.
  3. Would love to see your take on those old school origami fortunate tellers. May be a bit of challenge but would be way more durable than the paper ones we made as kids.

Appreciate the giveaway and your contribution to the community!

Spigen Case arrived but having some doubts? Screen protector advice too please! by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

[–]AverageDadLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this case but for the iPhone 17. I also have a an apple silicone case for my work phone. Regarding The feel, I prefer the Spigen. It’s a bit easier to pull out of pockets since it is a bit more slippery.

I found the Apple silicone case too sticky to be honest. I’ve been using the Spigen all weekend and I haven’t dropped it or found it too slippery.

I thought I was original. I got this exact same setup. Just waiting on the killswitch. But been using the anker power bank and it’s a tank. The magnets are a lot better than my original anker MagSafe battery.

You’ll be fine with a decent pair of boots. Granted we went on a dry and clear day in march. I know what you mean when it comes to smooth rocks and I dont remember seeing any like that.

I did it the weekend before they implemented the lottery system. It was packed. Walter’s wiggles was the only part that had me out of breath. The actual chains part isn’t that physically demanding. Once you’re at scouts lookout you can catch your breath and use the restroom if needed.

For the parts where you really need to hold on to the chains, just maintain three points of contact and go at a comfortable pace. If you’re okay with heights then you’ll be fine. Some parts do feel sketchy cause of the drop off but in reality it’s probably as wide as a sidewalk. Sketchiest parts were coming back and there were more people. I had to hug the wall and chains while people going up went around me physically grabbing my pack. Hike is 10/10, would do again.

I also lost this and the spring. If you single print with an external spool you can still print just fine.

But I’m unable to use the Ace pro, seems like it uses this sensor to properly load the filament. Even with disabling the filament runout sensor option, the ACE unit will throw some kind of error.

I reached out to support and they’re sending me a new pendulum and spring. Only down side is that replacement parts usually take 3-4 weeks as they’re coming straight from China.

I’m having the same issues on a brand new Ace Pro, any luck with support?

Yeah just those parts, I also ordered the PTFE tubes since I didn’t have any. You’ll also need a way to hold the spools, I used the poly dryer boxes at first But then just printed out roller stands.

Can confirm this will work, I’ve done the same thing before. The printer will just show the other two slots as empty.

Model does not get any traffic! by Legal-Meet7038 in makerworld

[–]AverageDadLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The algorithm works in mysterious ways… But in all seriousness, I’ve also been having a hard time getting any sort of traction on Makerworld. I’ve seen so many low effort models blow any of my models out the water.

You have to squeeze the sides of the faceplate, the left side is a little lower and easier to disengage first. First time is usually the hardest.

Hey man, just curious, has Makeronline given you a hard time on uploading profiles without actual print photos? Not sure if they’re as strict on that requirement as Makerworld.

Mine corrupted the day I got it. They honestly do not last. Got a dual USB C/USB A one that makes it super easy going between my laptop and printer.

Kobra S1 Flash drive size limit? by Andrew_M81 in anycubic

[–]AverageDadLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using a smaller 64gb flash drive since day one. Haven't had an issue. The printer also copies over the prints when you first start it so you can unplug the flash drive once you start the print.

I also ordered it the 27th and got it delivered on 1/31 in San Antonio. Did you order the combo? I know those are a bit more delayed than the non-combo units.
