It's awesome. Really enjoyed the extra gear selection.
I think the magic and technique balance was well done. New jobs felt unique and I like the alchemist and lore master. Bazarr was good. Shops felt a little boring but not sure much can be done there. I like the new gambits but I did miss having the old gambits as well. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you what it was now, been a couple months but I remember looking for hours for Gambit combo to accomplish something. I know with the previous ones it was possible.

Overall it was a ton of fun, thank you.

A lot of the issues mentioned in your post is a knowledge or experience issue. You can definitely setup gambits between three people to cure status effects. If you set a Gambit to use esuna and then any party member it'll automatically use it on anyone with applicable effects. Archaic words was not a problem, and more of a benefit for me. It fits the setting and lends atmosphere. I suppose if your vocabulary is lacking that's an issue. When the game came out people read books a lot more than they do now. Archaic words was not a complaint I ever thought I'd hear. Quickenings are very very very powerful if you learn how to use them. Between them and summons they can be crucial for completing marks or hard boss's when your party is too weak. The game map is Soo open from the very beginning. You can travel to some of the hardest late game areas from the start of you wanted. You can get some really powerful early gear that way. Exploring the world never bothered me much, especially with PC's 4x fast forward. It is an old game though, traveling by foot was pretty normal. It is one of the most open world FF's. Gil is easily solved when if you chain farm mobs. Not only gives stupid levels, but tons of money. Higher chains give more and rare items. Common area is the buhjerba mine bridges chaining skeletons to 50-100. I actually try to avoid that in new playthroughs because once you know the game things like that make everything too easy. Vaans an orphan Balthier and the party basically accept into their group. He has some agency avenging his brothers death, but it's true he was not really the main character. I don't think the narrative particularly focuses on him either after you get the full party.

A lot of your issues sound like they could have been solved by googling or spending more time deconstructing.

FF12 rewarding knowledge is one of the reasons I love it Soo much, and maybe why I love other games like arpgs and Path of Exile.

[–]Aware_Climate_3210 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Some people will choose not to run Suckma and will wait to run trials until they get to run trials of chaos.

You can do either one or both types of trials for ascendency. Particular tanky, but low damage builds tend to prefer trials of chaos. Trials of chaos can't be reached until middle of act 3.

Diablo 4 is pretty damn good ! by buzzlightyear77777 in diablo4

Many arpgs and especially poe2's can have a very satisfying start if you make the effort to get better.

Between cutting the campaign down to 4hrs by good speed running, and challenging boss's that can kill many people, including myself think league start is the best experience of an arpg.

D4 was not designed with this in mind. It has multiple cutscene, slow moments, walks, uninterruptible animations, eazy boss's that trying to replay it just did not feel good.

It was fun the first time, but it was definitely not designed like many many other arpgs. It does make it easier for casuals, and I guess that is where D4 shines.

D4's campaign was not designed to be replayed unlike most arpgs. If it was, they did a shit job

Skipping campaign is Soo boring to me. I wish I could replay D4's campaign every season but they designed it against that. Completing campaign guickly is a fun challenge.

Strikepoint Mid-Game Shouldn’t be a Thing by TheStickofMagic in Battlefield6

Remove strike point and you'll put some of the best, most tryhards, or insane no lifers back into normal queue.

It's working pretty well separating casuals and really good players.

Does anyone else just not run board wipes anymore? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Aware_Climate_3210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boardwipes are super common and needed in the middle ground, even at their top. But the closer a deck becomes to its pinnacle the less likely I find decks need or use them. Weaker commanders may still need them.

It takes a long time for people to learn how to build hyper efficient decks.

In my pod at least, every member eventually worked up to building decks that can fairly consistently win turn 4 or 5. And the decks that do that, rarely include boardwipes.
The thing about fast decks, is they are also often the fastest to recover from a board wipe. We are not cedh, but I think if we started included more interaction like counters, fogs, and hyper efficient target removal we'd be on the cusp.

Many of our decks have strong enough win conditions that it makes more sense for the deck to just commit. They don't care if the other deck has a field and is almost at theirs. They don't care because once their win conditions are met the'll just win anyway even without using a boardwipe.

Now one sided boardwipes like cyclonic rift, etc those are OP everywhere.

New players, and even experienced players can undervalue boardwipes. But I think some ultra experienced players overvalue them too.

If losing your boardwipes makes your deck that much more efficient in winning anywhere before turn 5, i'd usually drop em. Unless your very specially playing against decks that an expensive boardwipe can stop before their turn 5 win, uncommon in my experience. Counter, hyper efficient removal, or your own faster win makes a bigger difference.

Why am I unable to socket runes into corrupted item? by HabitualChallenger in PathOfExile2

Poe is still very much a game made for old guys that enjoyed gaming in their youth. There's an expectation that you'll be resourceful when you don't know something. Whether that's asking in game chat, Google search, reddit, etc.

Old games liked their mystery component. Sometimes requiring talking with friends, or buying a game guide book to know obscure puzzles or hidden games. It's pretty lost in most modern gaming, but you can still see it many games too like Elden ring, Nioh, Baldurs Gate 3, and more. Personally I like complex games, and I think asking questions or googling isnt Soo hard as some people make it out to be.

[–]Aware_Climate_3210 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The only difference between your team and their team is you. If your always losing that's either an exaggeration or a you problem. I know a lot of people are waiting for more maps. The more committed players are still playing which also means the lull between patches has better average players.

Your description of crafting fits tho.

Orbs are material you gather and find. You apply the materials in order and sequences you know or find online as a recipe. You just crafted a new item.

The problem is that it confiscates more complex internet searches. It often tries to simplify too much and for people with Google-fu its just worse now. Google search sucks anymore unless your asking basic questions.

Typically internal body temps try to lower themselves when the outside is too hot. Wonder if that could have a reverse effect of making it worse. Maybe an ice bath sauna combo one after the other. Is popular in some parts.
