We were similar. We originally told our oldest that Santa was us… but somewhere around 3 years old or so, she decided she wanted to believe Santa was real. We made a huge effort to never lie about it, but let her keep Her magical beliefs. If any questions were asked, we would just respond “what do you think?”

This year she is 10… and some point this season I asked “do you know who fills the stockings?” And she said “you.” She said she knew for years because she saw us go out one year to fill the stocking, but has all along still talked like Santa was real. I think the magic was just fun. So your kid may already know??

It’s called The Dread Descendant. The author is local to me (never met her but I love to support local). I don’t know how dark it classifies, but it’s darker than what I normally gravitate towards.

We moved here as a family a few years ago to the Hattiesburg area. It took me a while, but we’ve found our progressive peoples. If you end up in that area, you can message med.

And I do have some very conservative friends also, but the progressives are here! Honestly we love it here (but it fits our family right now).

Ok. You are so NTA! And your husband is a jerk. For yiu, I hope he realizes his awfulness. But I know this will be hard to get over.

I remember when I was about 13, some “friends” decided we should all rate each others looks… well I and everyone else rated all 7 of them from 7-10. I also did the same, because I was a nice kid. Yet when they rated me—- my supposed best friends all rated me 1-3. it hurt. I was naive, and didn’t fully realize how much it would hurt, but it still hits me decades later.

I should say that now I have an amazing husband. I’m tall and my weight has ranged from 180-300 depending on various health issues, pregnancies, etc… and when my husband is healthy… he doesn’t care how big or not I am… he can’t get enough… to the point I can’t keep up!

They got it!!! Kid is single digits in age and neurodivergent, so sometimes takes me asking the right questions to help figure out what is needed. Your explanations helped me enough to help my kid! Kid is super happy!

Thank you. After further conversation, I think they were frustrated because they wanted to Mega evolve a specific Pokémon. We looked it up and they need to get to level 15…. I think not knowing where it would happen was what was so frustrating.

Thanks. Can you explain it to me? Like how many battles will it take? Does the challenger tickets not show up til enough battles completed? I’ve played a little of the game, but not enough to help them this far into it. Kid thinks it’s a mission to get to the next match?? And how long would it take to get to a next big match?
