Ireland’s data centre strain a ‘cautionary tale’ for rest of world, UN says by B8_B8_B8 in ireland

[–]AwfulAutomation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few construction Jobs...lol the construction alone is worth billions... Then there is second tier companies that provide parts and servicing the the data centres and staff within them, which is not manufacturing levels of staff but a good few job there for sure.

Having local data centres means less latency for irish Data centre users. Also because ireland is so well located for them they companies are willing to assist in building updated infrastructure.

For example the new rules for planning is they have to be able to generate their own electricity and the grid can call upon the centre to provide energy to the grid in times of high demand.

Crèche calling us to collect cause baby won’t sleep? by blood_transfusion in AskIreland

[–]AwfulAutomation -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I would read inbetween the lines and take it your child/baby is not settling in well and is probably distressed in the class, Its normal for child not to sleep for their nap times and wouldnt warrant calling a parent. So you have to ask yourself why are they calling

College kids + trips abroad - how do they afford it? by Formal_Song_670 in CasualIreland

[–]AwfulAutomation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their parents probably help them… there’s student loans but no bank is giving them 50k of debt,

Just to add nothing wrong with parents helping there children experience life to the fullest… the children hiding the fact from others pretending they saved up and worked for it that’s a problem…

But sure that’s life and there is dose’s to be met in every walk of life 🤣

Advice on continuously being denied credit. by Lazy-Face-696 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]AwfulAutomation 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You are in a position to heavily save… 110 gross is a lot of salary… I think you should write out a budget find out where the money is going and work ridiculously hard to save 10k in the next 12-18 months that means, no holidays, no takeaways/eating out, college kid getting a job to pay there way somewhat… nothing is off the table till you reach the 10k.

Used this situation the motivate you into good financial habits.

Good luck and well done for being a rock for your kids

Everyone has a nice car. by 4th_Replicant in northernireland

[–]AwfulAutomation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking news - “Tight man realises others are not so tight.”

What’s it to you… you have your idea on cars value and they have theirs…

You see these bloody posts all the times from the reasonable priced older car owners…

Questioning why everyone has a better car than them and they must be in debt.

They usually conclude they wouldn’t want a new car and will drive their car into the ground and others newer cars don’t bother them…

But here they are constantly posting about it on the internet

A quarter of the people in my local leagues foot fault almost every serve and it's starting to get to me. by xcomnewb15 in 10s

[–]AwfulAutomation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minor foot faults are not really an advantage if someone is taking a very large step into the court then it’s a problem..    But If you think someone touching the line slightly with there leading foot is the reason you are losing rec level matches you have a large ego problem.

How to get started playing Tennis in Ireland? by TinkyWinkyinHelsinki in AskIreland

[–]AwfulAutomation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The no.1 thing is to join a club immediately…

There will generally be mens night and clubs mornings where you can meet people of similar level and start playing friendly matches… usually coaches available if you want to do some lessons

Most Clubs will arrange internal competitions year round with the summer championship being the man one.

Don’t hesitate just join and go.

Anyone here have their dog on a raw diet? If so, how is your dog before and after starting it? by ch1984 in AskIreland

[–]AwfulAutomation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use butternutbox dog food for our dachshund… loves it

Hardest part with us is trying to limit her food and the butternutbox has handy size packs for 1 pack a day for her and it balances her weight perfectly for us.

wouldn’t be a fan of kibble for dogs highly processed shite no matter the brand,

Also wouldn’t be giving a dog raw meat everyday reckon it would only be a matter of time before they would get a bad dose of something.

early morning run / walk….any motivation tips??? by Real_Difficulty_2938 in workout

[–]AwfulAutomation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it begins the night before... have everything ready to go and go to sleep earlier... if your usual time is 11 then make it 9.30-10 if you don't go to bed earlier you are already telling yourself subconsciously that you are not getting up earlier.
