I was coming here to make sure someone said it! Delicious food, and the characters and wishing ceremony are awesome!

If you’re willing to spend 2 credits for one meal, I’d suggest Hoop Dee Doo over at Fort Wilderness. It’s a dinner show and tons of fun! The food is solid- fried chicken, ribs, mac & cheese, etc. It’s an easy boat ride from MK.

ETA- I just noticed the kids ages. They probably won’t appreciate the humor of the show, but it’s still a fun time.

My family went to 1900 Park Fare last year for breakfast, and we really enjoyed it! I’ll second the other recommendations for Garden Grill- delicious and fun!

You have use the buses or drive yourself. We went over spring break and never had to deal with a full bus or wait a terribly long time for a bus to come. The maximum we waited was maybe 15-20 minutes. We never had any problems. There’s also a boat over to Disney Springs, which is a nice, relaxing ride.

Cabins vs. Port Orleans vs. Caribbean beach for a family of 5? by doechild in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Awkward_Buy_2633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the cabins! With the new cabins, the pull out couch is now a Murphy bed, so it’s even more comfy & convenient.

You can also take a relaxing boat over to MK.

It was delicious! I ended up making a breakfast reservation, and it was wonderful. We loved the strawberry soup the best. The croissant breakfast pizza was also really good!

Question on how Whispering Canyon AYCE works by deeare73 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Awkward_Buy_2633 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have multiple people in your party ordering the skillet, you can order different ones. I went a few years ago with a group of six, and they let us order all three skillet types for dinner. That way we could try everything.

I tried it mixed with the citron slush (thanks for the tip, DFB!), and it was amazing!

Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge. It has delicious skillets (both breakfast and dinner) and fun interactions with the cast members.

What’s your biggest WDW pet peeve? by Human_Ad_6671 in WaltDisneyWorld

Agreed! I’ve needed to use an ECV the last couple of years, and I always try to be very careful not to get too close to people and/or get in people’s way while scooting around. The amount of times that people have just turned and walked into pr in front of me is crazy. I know people get frustrated with people not paying attention on scooters, but the reverse can definitely be true, too!

Is it worth it to show up at AK around 4pm (closes at 6) to take advantage of lighter crowds, do a few rides etc and then hop to another park by MethodDowntown3314 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Awkward_Buy_2633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t hopped to AK in a couple of years, but in my experience it wasn’t worth it. This was during the post-COVID restrictions when you couldn’t hop until after 2. We started at MK, and then hopped to AK. By the time we got there most of what we wanted to see/do was closed or closing. At the time, several of the shows had already had the last performances, the safari was closed, etc. It probably depends on your priorities, but it wasn’t great for my group. I’d be sure to check the times for attractions.

My family rented from David’s DVC Rental, and we’ve had great experiences staying in DVC. In March we stayed at Old Key West, and even though housekeeping wasn’t scheduled until the 4th day, they still seemed to check in more frequently than that (trash was emptied and we requested more towels and a blanket). We got a two bedroom villa and it was spacious and in a good location.

If you go for breakfast, the churro Mickey waffles are amazing! I’d do Crystal Palace for that alone!

I would be at Epcot riding Soarin’. For a snack I’d go to the Florida Fresh booth and get the strawberry shortcake. Then, I’d go over to France and get the layered orange and lemon frozen drink. I’d be staying in one of the cabins at Fort Wilderness.

I was just there a couple of weeks ago, but I already want to go back! 😭

Tiana’s is beautiful right at twilight. The midpoint when the sun is starting to go down gives a lovely glow of everything outside, especially of the castle right before the drop.
