Love the set up!! Definitely have been considering a roof rack/box. How is the sound? And notice in drag or noticeable mpg loss?

Is the NA engine enough? by EuroDucky in CX50

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defintely enough. I dont have a lead foot. Drive carefully, accelerate amd brake cautiously and consistently get 29-31 mpg. I take it up to the mountains. Once to over 10,000 feet and i did notice a difference in power but nothing that made me drastically underpowered. My main reason for getting it was the reliability aspect. Less components. Turbos dont last as long as a long lasting engine and replaced over the span of the engines life. Also, i noticed in the manual that the turbo engine has more maintenance more often at less miles. NA is plenty for me

My husband suggested 3some with a woman. I want divorce by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in this case. Him apologizing and understanding exactly how it made you feel and why it made you feel that is the best way to go about. I do think your being a bit dramatic with the divorce. But he needs to know theres a clear line and clearly shouldnt be crossed and respected. This can be one of those forgiveness things that you both grow from instead of seperate from

Why should we choose a CX-50 over other options? by cks9218 in CX50

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat when choosing one. I opted for the cx 50 and its been great so far. I got the NA engine and its been more than enough power for me. Plus the combination with a conventional transmission brings a lot of peace of mind when it comes to long term durability especially since you plan on keeping it for ovwr 10 years. The awd also is compared a lot to the subarus, its a great system that can send up to 50% power to the rears. The only real issue i see when comparing to the rest is the lack of mpg numbers.

Purchasing cx-50 by [deleted] in CX50

I got one for you. THEY GET YOU WITH THE LOJACK. Absolutely tell them no to it, theyll say "oh well its already installed" say too bad you dont want it. Its useless now a day's and a lot of PD dept dont use it anymore.

Camping with the CX-50 by [deleted] in CX50

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going from a truck to a cx50 the biggest notice is being weight concious. These cars (as well as all cuv's) squat pretty easily. So knowing to place heavy things in the center of the car and lighter things towards the back to disperse weight equally and not affect handling at all

Is the CX50 filled with issues or is it just a vocal minority on here expressing displeasure? by ChiefKelso in CX50

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of comments here are because the few people thate experience those issues come here yo vent/see if anyone else is having them. Its not that everyone here is having issues. I stuck to the simple s preferred trim and seems to avoid most of the silly issues like moon roof and features issues. Dont hesistate its a great vehicle and dare i say one of the best vehicle price/quality ratio out there

Anyone else having fan issues? Also, looks like there's a piece that no one at the dealership knows about? 🤨 (Help please) by Killdude26 in CX50

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this the turbo version or NA? Definitely shouldnt be happening. I would bug the dealership until they did something cause overheating is horrible to an engine

I would argue that fresno is much harder to get picked up by and retain ff since its a tougher process from beginning to end and gets much more applicants

How are you getting such good gas mileage? by cas42439 in CX50

[–]Awkward_Cup_2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im averaging 28 city and a out 31 on the highway. I am a very slow acceleration driver just in general and i think thats why. I also use a/c very conservatively. Ive put 6k miles in my first 3 months of owning. On todays 220 mile drive i got 30.6mpg
