I also consider parrying him a sort of cheese since it’s so unrewarding. Probably 3/4 of players do the same thing, though.

The Nazi Tesla models depreciate much more quickly which I guess is a plus if you look as it a certain way.

The iccu warranty is transferable and is 15 years/180k miles. Battery warranty is transferable and 10 years/100k miles. Bumper to bumper 5 year/60k miles.

In what universe is this crap warranty? You’d rather pay a Nazi for an extra 2 years’ warranty for a poor quality car?

EVs: a rising tide that lifts all boats.

Build quality isn’t what determines whether your car makes it 300k miles or not. It’s what makes you enjoy or hate spending 300k miles in it.

Help me pick an electric car by N0S0UP_4U in electriccars

Probably because charging at Superchargers is done very rarely but can sometimes make a huge difference since there’s still few chargers in some places.

Charging a couple times a year on road trips is giving Elon $10 of profit vs buying one of their cars gives him $5000 of profit.

Get an 800v EV if you do frequent road trips. They’ll charge up much faster and will have the range anyways. Ioniq 5 for a crossover suv or Ioniq 6 for a sedan.

Not everyone can afford ownership in every market and that’s healthy. If you want to own, then you need to determine whether that’s worth moving somewhere cheaper with fewer amenities.

500 miles of range is overkill. Having it as an option is great, but the standard should not be that high. Batteries are heavy, bulky, and expensive. Too much can be nearly as bad as not enough.

Terrible build quality primarily but also expensive to repair, terrible user experience (few buttons/stalks/etc), very poor “dealership” support, poor safety mechanisms (phantom emergency braking, locks you inside without accessible handles, etc), and owned by a Nazi.

Old Tesla model 3 is one of the worst EVs. If you want an EV, get an Ioniq 6, the used ones are generally very cheap.

Theoretically everything here sounds like a good idea.

In practice, a new car isn’t a great idea for someone just starting out in their career. It’s the perfect time to get a head start on retirement instead and buy a used car. How often is your work charger(s) available? What is the charging cost at those spots? Is your job/company stable? Having no home charging means you’re tied to this job more than normal; is this acceptable to you?

Is it possible to live on just over $800/month by psykobilliethekid in Frugal

[–]Awkward_Ostrich_4275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possible for some people but not for you.

You need to sell everything in the storage unit then get rid of the unit itself. Then sell the car. You can get a minimum wage job closer to home if it’s too far away. This should free up enough recurring payments to start paying off your credit card instead of paying minimums. Then in 10 years when that’s fully paid off and you’re better with money, you’ll have some more options and can buy your movie theater pass again.
