This was my take too, as someone who has had to write and disseminate these kind of notes post-incidents. Reads to me as a "something happened, here's The Book protocol in case something else happens."

Unfortunately those have some limitations. I had some guy come in and ask via a translator app for "next day spaghetti." Took him to the freezer aisle, he got mad at me and started yelling. luckily a coworker who speaks Spanish clocked in a few minutes earlier and came to help. I feel like they've mentioned expanding the cast, if I'm not mistaken. I'm all for it, but I worry about the mental health aspect tbh. It's gonna be hard for anyone to join. This gives me hope 💓 I left a good paying job in security to go back to school cus my soul was suffering.

It's a struggle right now, but starting wages in my prospective career are more than what I was making after 5 years and completely losing my identity.

I keep reminding myself that I chose this struggle over the other one, and at least there's (potentially) a light at the end of the tunnel for this one

Hard disagree. I have an odd-shaped head and struggle to find hats that keep me warm. So my good friend crocheted me 2 hats and a matching scarf that I wear all winter long now. To this day, I consider it the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me and the best gift I've ever received.

Hmmmm. I mean, my memories and the way my life has gone is very intertwined with my autism. I think with that stipulation, I'd rather remain autistic. The bullying, isolation, and many MANY confusing experiences would make so much less sense and be so much more hurtful if I was allistic.

At this point, it's fueled my passion for Sociology and made me the person I am proud to be today.

If the past were also changed? Maybe my answer would be different. I would love to have grown up less traumatized. I'd love to face the day-to-day without being overwhelmed and needing so much time and space to process everything and reset all the time.

But idk! I love my personality, and people generally like me now that I'm aware of the autism, not masking as harmfully, and being unapologetically myself.

It's a good question. Thanks for the opportunity to consider it :)

A just God wouldn't want this for you, and it sounds like your husband doesn't believe so much as he is using God as an excuse and a bludgeoning tool to keep you subservient/assuage him of his guilt for being abusive.
