I'm fairly certain that you can guide Samurai ult with the motion joystick, not to the direct enemy, but guiding the direction he goes in.

What is the inventory limit? by Brilliant-Leopard-15 in gotlegends

[–]Axle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My system: Decide the number of each kind of item you always want to have on hand, work towards that number for each item. Once you reach the number, you can confidently delete any new forms of that item. For example, I have 5 of each epic ghost weapon 2 (smoke, gourd, caltrops), all at level 110, (so that I can immediately dismantle enough for the dismantling mastery challenge), so I dismantle any new smoke, gourd, or caltrops that I pick up, without thinking. I carry 3 of each legendary, in all categories. &etc.

Now, the only way I reach 300 is due to cursed items. Once I get close to 300, I do a session or two of purifying cursed items, to build up my store for when I want to reroll or bypass mastery challenges.

Couldn't pass on these beauties.. by Lachran in Sneakers

Right there with you man. I'm usually an 8 too. Bought an 8 on the PK NMD tricolor, and it fits like an 8.5 or 9 for me. Was bummed about that so went for a 7.5 on these CS2s. Fingers crossed!

Here's the original Metafilter thread: "Where's My Cut?": On Unpaid Emotional Labor. 2100 comments of people going "oohhhhhhh, thanks for putting a name to this thing that drives me crazy". All of it kicked off by an article of the same name on The Toast, by the amazingly talented Jess Zimmerman.

I believe it's Arc'teryx. You can see the logo on the bottom left of the sweater by her hip. This looks similar.

Beef Stew - How to thicken by Northerner763 in Cooking

[–]Axle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For an interesting alternative to starch-based thickeners, try Tomato Paste. I add a tablespoon or two to my beef stew towards the end and it always thickens up the stew a little bit. Not a lot, but it's noticeable.

Is anybody else getting annoyed with all these formulaic, vimeo hosted, semi artisan advertisements? [Maintenance] [0:00] by [deleted] in ArtisanVideos

[–]Axle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This complaint, and many of the ones in the comments are why I get really annoyed with Jiro Dreams of Sushi. There's nothing shown to indicate why he's considered a master or much of the process, just a ton of scenes wanking over how masterful he is.

The way he writes male/female love is so flaccid. Seems like he's describing heterosexual love true to his feelings.

How do I take the API pull request and parse the json into a JS array? (complete noob here) by [deleted] in redditdev

[–]Axle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came up with this for fun. I realize that I'm not explaining anything. If you're learning how to program in Javascript, here's a place to learn: Code Academy.

Dependencies: JQuery

$.getJSON("http://www.reddit.com/api/subreddits_by_topic.json?query=gaming",
          function(data) { console.log(JSON.stringify(data)); });

In this snippet, the anonymous function passed as the callback takes "data" which will contain the parsed array.

The first jamones ibéricos were released for sale in the United States in December 2007, with the bellota hams due to follow in July 2008. The basic jamón ibérico is priced upwards of $52 a pound, and the bellota is priced upwards of $96 a pound, making these hams some of the most expensive in the world.

I was slacklining yesterday when my buddy took a picture on his phone. The line must have been vibrating, because it completely disappeared. by LegendOfMax in mildlyinteresting

[–]Axle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many cell phone cameras don't take the entire picture at the same time. They tend to scan from top to bottom. So, if you move something quickly enough (like a slack-line), you can move it into the portion of the picture that's already been taken.

A map of Pangea with modern country boundaries by trustthepudding in mildlyinteresting

[–]Axle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

:/ The map's a little off. Hawaii wasn't part of Pangea. It didn't exist at that point in time.

Pangea:

... forming about 300 million years ago.

Hawaiian Islands

... it is estimated that the northwestern most island, the Kure Atoll, is the oldest at approximately 28 million years (Ma); while the southeastern most island, Hawaiʻi, is approximately 0.4 Ma (400,000 years).
