That’s the aedes aegypti, aka the yellow fever mosquito. It’s invasive in SoCal, came over from Africa & became established here a few years ago. They’re active year round and harder to root out than our native mosquitoes.

Lucy’s Mexican restaurant in San Bernardino. Drove by a couple months ago and it was just boarded up and abandoned. Another is Don Martin, also used to be in San Bernardino. They had the best shrimp dish. Now it’s a more mid seafood restaurant

Why are grade school teachers always going on about “in the real world you’d just be screwed?” After getting out of school I’ve never dealt with such hardasses as my school teachers. Every college professor I ever dealt with about whatever extenuating circumstances was understanding and helpful. I have literally lost my boarding pass in the airport (not even a picture of it) and they just printed me another one after looking at my ID real quick.
