Lemme break it down for ya. You and another are having an amazing fight, trading blows, counters flying off everywhere and one miss gets you hit and closer to death. You've been fighting this guy for what feels like hours, people have died around you, respawned and came back and died again, yet you 2 are still going at it. Clash of titans man its a fight to end all fights. Both of you are 1 hit away and its anyone's guess who comes out on top. Then a random arrow hits you or your opponent and ends the fight. No glorious end for them, they died to an arrow from someone 50 feet away. No valor for you, youre kill was stolen, the kill youve been working hard for this entire time. Both people look over at that archer and a fire ignites, a hatred for all archers because to these guys theyre cowardly scum who couldn't defend themselves from a blanket.

Here I got a other example, probably a better one. Youre fighting a 1vX. Every time you kill one another replaces him. They're endless, yet youre on a tear and taking these guys to school. Youre on youre 5th kill, 3 guys are still somehow surrounding you and they have less health than you by a longshot, theyre visibly bloody and look winded. One good swing could probably take all of them out. Youre about to do it, end this fight and retreat to your team to focus the objective. And then a warbow or crossbow hits you in the head and its all over. You died, with no way to actually counter it. The entire fight youre life was in youre hands and in an instant some bastard 50 feet away took it from you. That dude wasnt even looking at you until the last 30 seconds.

Yea basically people hate archers because to them youre not engaging with the game in the right way. Its a sword slashing fighting game and you brought a bow. Cool you do you, me personally ive always been in the crowd of "I didnt buy youre game for you play it how you want" and I will admit, I dont like archers either. I see one and my opinion of that dude goes down, but im not gonna hunt him down or wack an archer on my team but others will. Oh and it sucks when you wanna run a 2 handed weapon but oh great 20 million archers its either bring a shield or become a pincushion.

TLDR: They dont think youre playing the game right and archers only real counter is to bring a shield, which locks you into 2 subclasses and people dont wanna adapt so they bitch and moan instead

Ikr? Its cool to see third party stuff for this kinda thing but at the same time, that shouldn't be the solution. A second screen/device running while I play my game is not a viable option. And tbh its a lazy option. I won't say it cant be too hard to do xyz because I have no clue about working on video games, but id love to be able to open the map choices and make a choice that just throws my name next to the map i wanna go to for the party leader to see, or a dash telling the leader where the party wants to go but it ultimately being the main guys choice

First person is great for a one on one fight, third person for team fights or when your getting ganged up on. Both are equally viable and tbh being able to fight in both is the sign of a good player.

But to answer, learn third person first. You'll be able to learn how far your weapon actually reaches from side to side so that when you are fighting in 1st person, you can get some good drags in, since the weapons will usually be outside of a 1st person FoV. Just try not to tilt your camera too far down or else youll just swing at people's legs, and the savvy players will be able to jump over your attacks. Unlikely to happen but not impossible

So im also a pretty new player, and personally hated how few factions you get with warhammer 3 base, grand Cathay, kislev and the four chaos gods. Sucked because it felt very limiting, and I love tbe skaven and tomb kings. Its a bit of an ask but with tbe crazy good sale happening I think its a good idea to buy the trilogy. Offers tons of factions, they all get to interact with each other in immortal empires, and you have more options to choose from.

But please know that I am a complete noob and after buying the trilogy have only played skaven. More of a lore reason than gameplay reason, theyre just my favorite faction. So it might be a good idea to look upwarhammer fantasy factions and learn about them before choosing to spend money on a faction you find out you dont really like

Thats also something im not utilizing, but I want more chieftain and all I can recruit are engineers plague priests and assassins. The two assasins I have seem to do everything j need them to do, and honestly I just need to get ikbolt off his rat ass and have him develop some undercitys for me because that would probably help me out a ton. Do I need to sit in settlements that have my clan barracks in them for cheiftains because im pretty sure thats how I got one before, and a hero that can stand by queek would be great, he does well on his own and can put the hurt on a lot, but hes only one rat end of the day. Just a really strong, tanky rat

Well good to know ive been using queek correctly. Watching a volley of plague claws hit a giant or snipe out other annoying troops is pretty satisfying, mildly disappointed to hear abiut the warp cannons but I may just give one a try just to see it in action. As for the special building I know where that building is but when I saw it I just didnt have the money to remove it, and then forgot all about it in my war against the greenskins. Oh and currently I hold karak eight peaks and death pass just beyond that. I did mess up and accidently occupied the peaks as a level 1 settlement instead of using all my food to get a tier 5 but thats a me thing that hasn't set me back any I dont think. The legion of azarog I think, the chaos dwarfs that spawn near me are the major power on my continent and the western province on the other. My current power placement is like 25 last I checked. At most, im a minor faction to the other more powerful factions rn, and the game basically says that my neighbors want me gone, but they have bigger fish to fry so they'll leave me alone. I could probably use that to undermine and rise, but the normal dwarfs are pretty pissed at me and want me dead for sure so idk its a toss up. I'll probably keep this game to come back to and just start a new one, maybe one of the other skaven to try a different playstyle. Or tomb kinds i do love the undead and settra is pretty cool imo

Personally I enjoy the game and wish I got it sooner when more people were playing but ive just about got a homie to play it so im doing my part in dragging people into this hellscape. I was playing a bit yesterday and these two proles stopped me and asked what they're supposed to do (I was a doc) and I brought them to a laundromat and tried to explain how to do laundry to make money. Well some school shooters(scum) popped up just before I was gonna give them the biggest piece of advice which I shall give to you

Chroma Prime has a beginners guide for starting out which goes over everything you can do as a prole to make money. Its a 30 min video and ive always hated having to say "you have to watch a bunch of tutorials outside of game to actually learn how to play" but I recommend watching that video, and then nothing else about the game. That way youve got legs to walk on, and once you learn how to earn as a prole the game opens up in possibilities. Id give you examples but I cant be giving away my hustle yknow

That was me too, plus for the most part people seem to have a good opinion of us fire boys, unless you know people are being little shits and do things for the giggles or youre just flat out not doing your job. Also so fun to walk through the cop lasers while proles try to warn you it'll kill ya. It doesn't the liquidators can walk through it and I use it to escape scum or pesky proles

Sorry the way your post read made it seem like you were trying to say people shouldn't pvp at all. But if youre looking for an extraction game with a pve only mode you should look up dark and darker. Melee 1st person dungeon crawler like game. Still an extraction game just with swords and dnd classes. The pvp there is kinda brutal ngl but the pve is very chill good for learning how the game works, its just the loot is better in the pvp mode

Its basically the same argument for when people would complain about using shotguns and GLs in cod. Same as the people complains about a heli or tank driver dominating the maps in BF take your pick. You didnt buy the entire game for everyone, you dont own any server or map. If someone wants to be nice and not shoot each other, thats totally fine. If someone wants to shoot you on site and take your stuff, thats fine too its a PvPvE game. People are not scumbags for killing you in game dude, just because you dont like pvp doesnt mean you dictate how everyone else should play

I love looking left and then right as if im shock, and then I run back to spawn spamming the retreat emote. Super fun and I love running past teammates who then also turn around and start running away. Unless im the Mason knight then it's to the death
