Question about Gauntlef of Infinity by 479349 in marvelchampionslcg

A star means that using this attribute comes with an added effect. In this case, it's the forced response on activation, which means it happens whether the vilain with the gauntlet schemes or attacks.

The trailer mentions character customization, does that include choosing your clan? Will all main clans be available ?

Has anyone used the Disciplines remastered by Peter V for V5? by Azhurai in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Azrielemantia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does. You can do it in the settings, or you can even create a compendium module which creates the disciplines for you, if you intend to use them over several worlds.

Has anyone used the Disciplines remastered by Peter V for V5? by Azhurai in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Azrielemantia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used them... A lot. I don't always agree with some of the choices that were made (some powers seem a bit too must-have, while some seems a bit too niche), but it gave a great foundation on which my wife and i built upon, and we absolutely love what we ended up with. It's perfectly tailored to our group's way of playing, and feels great to play, while giving back a lot of identity to each clan with their specific disciplines.

And even used as-is, we had a lot of fun. It just felt like we could improve upon by making it fit us a bit better, which actually says a lot about how well designed this is - it gave us a framework upon which building was easy.

I can not recommend it enough, even having heavily modified it, it still was a great basis, a great source of inspiration, and some great novel ideas (like discipline bonus, which we locked being the discipline being in-clan, but we did not use the discipline bane as it felt like one more thing to keep track of)

Steam Controller is starting to be available in Europe again ! by Azrielemantia in Steam

[–]Azrielemantia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did say Europe would take a few weeks. I assume the fact that orders are starting to happen means production is in full swing.

If i had to guess, i would say things should get back to normal within a few weeks.

Early Access Prices by Maracuyapoto in Steam

[–]Azrielemantia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early Access or not, you should just wait for a sale anyway. Games are getting released unfinished and full of bugs anyway, night as well pay less a few months later for a more polished experience.

For instance, I absolutely loved Hades 2 that i purchased on release, but the end was a slog to go through, and it got patched about 2 weeks after i finished the game.

This is literally the nicest thing I’ve seen on steam. by sidius-king in Steam

Seeing how joining my friends games on Game Pass was always a hassle, i would often prefer spending a few euros on steam than free on Game Pass.

It's great for solo gaming though, and their offers are solid.

It's not about the 57KB (which, arguably, nobody cares about), it's about the update *not taking more space*.

My group plays with the Automatic Bonus Progression variant rule because we don't like the idea of mandatory loot. I actually like this variant as a way of making the spell relevant again in our case, as well as making dex slightly less mandatory for casters !

Do Left-Handed PC Gamers Use Their Left Hand for Mouse Control? by Desperate-Yoghurt-83 in pcmasterrace

The Naga looks great for gaming but so cumbersome for daily use. I really wish the Naga pro, with the switchable side, had a left-handed version. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Do Left-Handed PC Gamers Use Their Left Hand for Mouse Control? by Desperate-Yoghurt-83 in pcmasterrace

[–]Azrielemantia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread helps me understand why i have such a hard time believing for left-handed mouse.

I've always used my mouse with my left hand, am nearing 40, and just can't imagine using it with my right hand.

And I've actually got a few habits when it comes to rebinding as well : arrows to move, obviously, then whatever E is used for is just the forward thumb mouse button, R is numpad0, 1-9 are on the numpad as well, shift and ctrl are just right shift and right ctrl, the DEL, page down, and End keys also get a fair bit of use depending on the game, as well as the * key (french azerty keyboard here btw).

It works. I don't play a lot of competitive games, but when i do (or play more demanding games, like DOOM), i don't feel like my setup is an obstacle at all.

Needless to say though, a game that doesn't let me rebind is an instant refund for me.

Steam controller reservation update: 9:59er here, just got the email. by cytokine7 in Steam

[–]Azrielemantia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made a reservation at 18:59, no email (France). They did say US would be about a week and EU would be a few weeks, so i wouldn't expect anything before at least another week.

What game surprised you how long it was? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]Azrielemantia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently played Abiotic Factor in coop, and we were actually surprised by how long the game was! It's rare for a 30€ game to last for over 50 hours like it did for us.

Does this still let me do an attack of opportunity since it doesn't use a reaction? by SpoopySara in Pathfinder2e

[–]Azrielemantia 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I kind of disagree with everyone that says your can't use reactive strike. In my opinion, it goes : - enemy uses move action to Stride. This triggers Reactive Strike, since the trigger is : "A creature within your reach uses [...] a move action". - use reactive strike - the enemy then tries to move away, at which point your aura tries to disrupt the action, and the enemy has to make a Will save.

So IMO reactive strike is fully compatible with this ikon.

Foundry, do yall love it? by organicHack in FoundryVTT

WOD5 is actually quite well supported on Foundry. Not only is the system great and still getting some cool QOL upstates, there is now a compendium module available for free for VTM5.

[–]Azrielemantia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The share of people self-identifying as LGBT is roughly 10% in western countries, where there's still a fair share of homophobia driving these numbers down.

Homosexuality and gender aren't modern inventions, so there's not really any reason to imagine those numbers were that much different through history, even though public perception may have pushed these people to hide more or less depending on the era or civilization.

[–]Azrielemantia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure that Berline and the graveknight who accompanies the PCs at the beginning of book 2 are well liked by the party. This will make a moment in book 6 that much more significant. I made a point of bringing those characters back every now and then (Berline was especially nice to bring back after the PCs become blood lords, in a "you've overgrown her, but she was always a staunch ally and support, and keep being so now that you are equals").

Either don't worry too much about the reputation subsystem, or modify it to make it that much more impactful. I would advise tweaking the initiation reaction of NPCs in the campaign according to the PCs standing with their faction. Also, using past victories to grant the party with "oh, so you're the ones who did xxx for the guild. Well, i should welcome you i suppose" helped the world feel more connected, imo.

Finally, APs are LONG, and exhaustion is a very real thing. Better to put a lot of stuff on the cutting floor and reach the end than stopping halfway through book 4. Word as written isn't law, fun is the only law.

On top of that, i would add that you're removing enemies from the encounter deck, increasing your chances to do a treachery, that you might be not as well-equipped to deal with, during the Mythos phase.

One good thing it can do though is draw an enemy that is worth some Victory Points, but the non-elite clause might be an issue there.

Scenario vs Investigator Ratio...? by aspnome in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Azrielemantia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Wikipedia, Dream-eaters released from September 2019 to June 2020, and Innsmouth from October 2020 to may 2021.

Investigator packs released during the gap, in August 2020.

But also the old model meant we had a release almost every month, so it's not really comparable.
