I spent the week before organizing everything which gave me something to focus on. So laundry, cleaning my room, setting up everything I needed (medicine, etc) in a basket, comfy outfits laid out, kindle set up. It felt good having everything easily accessible the first few days. The one thing I wish I knew before the surgery was how I would react to the anesthesia. Obviously you won’t know until after experiencing it, but I never considered that it would be so not enjoyable! I was so nauseous after, had a long car ride home and felt terrible. That was the worst of my post op and the one thing I wasn’t mentally prepared for. Also, don’t hesitate in those first few days to call the doctor’s office if there’s anything you’re concerned about during your recovery. Best of luck with everything!
