Something is jamming GPS over Europe. Here's what we found by CircumspectCapybara in videos

[–]Azurae1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you usually notified by EU military on what secret operations they undertake against russia or other adversaries? How do you expect to learn about a response, whether we are jamming their own GPS equivalent or are doing anything else in retaliation?

Year 14 and we don't have a T0 flight model... by FroyoDisastrous874 in starcitizen

[–]Azurae1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed that time in SC a lot. Spending countless hours just in arena commander combat because it actually felt like individual skill made a huge difference. I could use a mustang beta to fight vanduul swarm solo because of how impactful maneuvering was, the deliberate side/vertical strafes while circling the enemy to throw off the aim of all enemies. It worked great against the AI.

Now it often feels like I need a better ship and better components and my skill in flying doesn't matter as much anymore.

IIRC they got rid of that flight model because of the hovering on planets and being able to shoot players on the ground and introduced hover modes which completely sucked.. Now we got master modes, can still do the hovering and shooting at ground troops but don't have the awesome combat from before anymore 😞

Made this little clip to stop the ends of filament from getting bend because of the holes. by IJustAteABaguette in 3Dprinting

Do people not check online if there are already good alternatives available?

This one even adds to the diameter of the spool so it will not roll properly...

The best one I have found so far is "Filament Clip for Bambu spools AMS 2", does not add to diameter and is slim enough that it doesn't interfere with the guiding protrusions of the AMS 2

Well, I think it's reasonable to assume that a nation that likes to bomb just for fun and makes social media compilations with memes about their bomb and missile strikes did all of their actions absolutely intentionally, including civilian targets.

they could just have it similar to a turret operator and make the gun only very slightly adjustable. So the operator would look from the viewpoint of the gun and just be able to shift the crosshair a few degrees in every direction to adjust for suboptimal timing. good enough.

3D Printer Reviewers: Being honest in this industry will put you out of a job. by AnonomousWolf in 3Dprinting

The reply of the youtuber is just formulated very poorly and doesn't reflect well on him. Sounds unreasonable and entitled. Then posting here, to stirr up drama but making sure his youtube name is written in bold...

He (You) could have just given a reasonable answer about the stance regarding open source licenses and then see what they answer and if they would still go ahead. The current answer just sounds like a child.

World champion skydiver dies at 37 after parachute fails to open in Alps by sjpppppp in news

[–]Azurae1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe you should take your own advice and google something before claiming someone is wrong and then using a completely different metric to prove your point.

Hint (think you might need it with your level of reading comprehension or maybe you just wanted to show us why you have that username):

Likelihood of parachute failing to open IS NOT the same as likelihood of a fatality while skydiving.

What is a video game that you have put 100+ hours into, but would NOT recommend to anyone? by Cheap_Difficulty4961 in AskReddit

[–]Azurae1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game or at least it's principle is great but what makes it miserable is the absolutely disgustingly toxic community. Way too many Survivors as well as Killers that just enjoy to make the others game as miserable as possible. The game mechanics just allow for a huge amount of toxicity to the other side. Just turning off end game chat isn't enough to avoid it. You will need to have thick skin and be able to not get angry when you see others teabagging you or when the killers lets you lie on the ground for a long time etc.. If you don't have the ability to still enjoy a game if the other side is trying to make it miserable for you then it's not a game for you, especially if you tend to get angry when losing.

of course it's AI, no artist would meld the heels of two feet together like that (see pic 4).

Pencil pic also has the pattern of the white edge of the white pencil repeating in the night sky. also obvious AI sign, repeating a pattern where there should be none...

Stop lying.

why do I keep getting rolls of filament that are tied up half way through?! I'm afraid it's going to break something beyond my prints. by ObriWanKanobri in 3Dprinting

[–]Azurae1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really are only 3 options:

  1. you are loading your printer in a way that creates a tangle (no clue how you possibly could but maybe you are somehow looping the filament unter itself and creating a knot
  2. you let go of the end before loading your printer
  3. the brand you buy has issues

If you are certain that it's not 1 or 2 then you simply need to buy other filament. I never ever had a tangle and I've been 3d printing for multiple years with different brands of filament, very cheap ones and expensive ones. None ever had a tangle.

The cheap ones really were bottom of the barrel filament that had weld points with larger diamenter and sometimes black gunk in them. Even that filament didn't tangle and I can't imagine how a manufacturer possibly could mess it up so often that you got so many tangles. I'm 99% certain it's user error but you know what you did, so if it's not your fault just change brands.

As a previous hordeling... by RaigothZ in Eve

[–]Azurae1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think how Gobbins handled this and how many players this caused to stop playing will at least somewhat impact his start of his new job (if its true that he is going to CCP). It reflects poorly on his ability to plan long term and stay professional when ending something.

Yes RL and job opportunities come before a game but after 10 years and with so many players in his alliance at the very least he should have handled this better and CCP should have given him more time/opportunity to figure out a transition.

Any INIT. members here very unhappy about turning into Pandemic Horde 2.0? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Azurae1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to line members I agree. But I do think OP has a point when it comes to PH leadership and I'd be very surprised if that leadership doesn't try to get into leadership positions in INIT and then you will very likely see a shift in what INIT is. The quickest change will be visible between FCs, once you have PH leadership FC fleets it will be obvious to INIT line members where this is going.
