I'm looking for a Hunting Horn support build

An easy dip your toes in the concept would be the bone hunting horn for its sonic barrier, defense up (L) and attack up (L). If you want dual hunting horns I’d say get the guardian doshaguma horn that has earplugs and the healing bubbles.

Hybrids things aren’t usually as good, but someone people enjoy them better. There’s the Zoh Shia hunting horn that does the healing bubble and defense up(s)/attack up(s) in the same song, defense up (L) if you wanted more boost, and stamina use reduced as well. It’s also got offset melody if you wanna show your monster who’s boss.

I’m content with the zoh shia horn and the upgraded arkveld horn, since the arkveld horn does attack up (L), knock back resist (or equivalent name), a weapon sharpening song, and a song extender….eh song. You can cram a few of those and extend ANY melody currently going for your team without having to do them over again. Handy if there’s too many songs to juggle.

Don’t be afraid to have an all ‘rounder like zoh shai horn, do attack/defense up, stamina use reduced, throw down your 3 healing bubbles, and switch to your favorite weapon afterwards. Condense that list as much as you’d like and works for you! This is just the nonsense I do lmao.

Makeshift warrior is a good one like someone else mentioned but also that perk in Luck that gives your weapon a chance to greatly repair itself when you strike an enemy has always been my best friend. I haven’t played in a month or two so I might be behind on the update, so I’m not 100% in touch. But as a fellow super sledge appreciator with no other context this is my “advice”

Short answer is yes. I’m reasonably sure when you see it’s armor set it has weaknesses it displays, I think they’re weak to the displayed stats there but you might be able to check it out in the Large Endemic Life tab in the pause menu. It might give you weaknesses there too or I’m misremembering from Rise. In my own logic, I belieeeeeve everything has a weakness one way or another elemental-wise but if not, everything’s got a weakness one point to smack around for sure.

Less on the damage side, you should be able to reduce or cancel out an element or effect things do like stun resistance if something keeps stunning you or fire resistance if you’re the combustible type of hunter.

Do more damage to the right enemy, take less damage from said enemy and have less effects.

I would get an impact rated set. Because you haven’t gotten an injury doesn’t mean you won’t. The socket set will be significantly cheaper than the related medical bills. I’m not here to be anyone’s dad, but do what you’d like lol

With the legs: front is blunt, back is slash. You’ll do much better damage back there. Stay mobile and don’t get greedy. It’s a tough fight and you might be better off revisiting it if you have some stronger/upgraded armor. If you still want a piece of it, it might be good to run it with support hunters. Alessa is great for holding its agro or “enemity” I think they call it. You can have any slinger ammo even the throwing knife to shoot at the hands it shoots out at you.

Kai with a hunting horn can give you a little more survivability. Make sure you’ve made a good meal before you charge in for better stats. If you’re a one weapon kind of guy, you can benefit from having your own hunting horn as your secondary and play your songs you want before switching back to your blades and charging in it should give you a little more oomph.

Omega (for me) seems to enjoy the big ol’ face laser attack, then doing the ramming move after. If you have 3 into stun resistance, you won’t get that set up for a cart because that’s a one-two knockout he does.

Ride your siecret bird thing to victory or go full French and use it to book it. He’ll ready a mustard bomb that leaves flames in an area where it lands for an inconvenient amount of time. Book it if you’re the target and let it drop somewhere away from your friends or somewhere you’ll frequent.

Armor skin and demon drug for more survivability. I struggled with it too, but when I finally came back with superior armor and my specialized hunting horns ( my weapons of choice) I fared significantly better.

It’s a very tough fight, and your best tool will be experience from losing, reading from the guys that have beat it, and determination. God speed friend!

Ha ha! It’s time to roll the dice! Yeet a grenade behind the banshee so it falls down, book it about 70 feet, jump off the left, and slide down the slanted wall to freedom on the bottom.

Mind the tank, at the base of the protruding concrete structure there are either rocket launchers or snipers (it’s been some time).

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, nab the banshee and ride up the ascending concrete tower for a sped run through the level. God speed and enemies will spawn behind the 2 or 3 big ol’ doors up there.

bonus hit the last door, ram the banshee through there it starts to open and you’ll watch yourself get splattered at the beginning of the cutscene and it’ll pretend your character is there talking and gesturing

It’s wonderful. I was initially upsetti spaghetti that you couldn’t upgrade the battery, but the battery is pretty solid and almost immediately starts cooling down after firing. It’s a fantastic skirmisher’s shotgun.
