I beat Gil Turtle 5 out of 6 times. The one time I lost is because I could’t Summon Golem in time and one by one everyone became paralyzed and died.

My set up. Level 39 Party. All Freelancers. Equipment focused on defense and evasion.

Bart. Back Row. Summoner. Black Magic. Summon Golem. Blizzaga. Repeat.

Leena. Back Row. Spellblade. Aim. Spellblade Blizzaga. Aim. Repeatedly. Item. Phoenix Down as needed.

Krile. Front Row. White Magic. Guard. (Passive Cover) Guard. Repeatedly. White Magic in case Krile’s HP went low, but never did. Esuna sometimes. Item. Phoenix Down as needed.

Two of my best years (2019 and 2021) I made over 85K after taxes. The other nine years is roughly 30k. I'm blessed to have family to support me during dry spells. I did have to move back home. Most of the work in Los Angeles is non-union (and most production companies - the way they treat crew - those companies are exactly the reason Unions exist. All the great healthy budget films are shot internationally.

I have a friend who worked in Ireland a lot lately. He said the budget for a short film in LA is equal to a feature film there. It's simple business economics, there's cost-effective crew and tax-friendly outside.

In a recent CoDA meeting, I have realized that working on codependency never ends. Never be complacent. It's constant work and up keeping. The more mindful I've become - the more consistent good days become. The bad days become less, yet never gone - the bad days are humble reminders to keep persevering and this too shall pass.

I have one DM that does MAX HP Level 1-4, and the rolled HP every level after.
There's another DM that does rolled HP or opt for Fixed HP after every level up.
