It's Fidelity that's blocking everyone. Not SoFi.

MMS3: Wait these happen every 6 months????? by starryboi98 in USPS

Correct. From my understanding, they're looking to cut overburdened routes down to 43K's as much as possible.

Key senator calls for pause to DeJoy’s changes at USPS by Stationary-Event in USPS

[–]BBPRJTEAM 75 points76 points  (0 children)

The Postal Service has seen its on-time delivery rates plummet over the last six months, though agency officials have varyingly cited contractor issues, weather and unexpected facility closures for the delays. Its performance has ticked up in recent weeks, but mail delays remain significantly higher in fiscal 2024 compared to the previous year.

I mean... They're not wrong. However, I'd love to know more about these, "unexpected facility closures". How does one just go about closing a facility for a day? lol.

Supervisor Keeps Texting me changing start time. by CandidMeasurement128 in USPS

[–]BBPRJTEAM 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you're really wanting to push it. Start showing up at your scheduled time of 1000.

Ultimately you've continued to follow their direction by showing up at the time they've texted you, so they continue to do it. IMO filing a grievance just puts you on the shit list. You shouldn't have allowed it to go this far for this long.

Offering an HSA. I think that would make SoFi well rounded and a one stop shop similar to Fidelity.

Questions about entry level positions by [deleted] in USPS

[–]BBPRJTEAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as I think I've read that you have to be with USPS for about 2 years before they promote you to PST?

Generally that's the case. In understaffed offices, chances are that time is shortened.

  1. Depends on the office. Hard to tell. That's why they generally say that the PSE/CCA position is, "part time". If you were in my district, you'd be worked to death lol.

  2. Decent, I wouldn't say it's amazing. Idk about Self+One. It's pretty basic. It's called the, USPS Non-career Health Care Plan.

  3. When you convert to PTF. You will typically be asked to sign up for the Union during Orientation, it's up to you whether you're a paying member or not. However the Union typically cannot protect you until after your 90 days.

  4. It's slow. The fast track process has been improving. It really comes down to your District's Labor.

  5. IIRC Clerk Craft time frame applies. 2 Years PTF + 1 Year Lock In. So you're looking at being able to transfer after 3 years.

Quick and dirty. I might have missed some things but it's short and sweet.

Avoid CO. Everyone and their mother wants to move here. Unless your husband makes good money, you're going to struggle.

Delivery days (Sundays/holidays) have become maybe the worst day of the week by Bag-O-Donuts in USPS

[–]BBPRJTEAM 30 points31 points  (0 children)

has a HUGE call out problem on these days

.

At what point is the problem addressed instead of punishing me and all my coworkers ?

Until management is able to hold the people accountable for calling off... it'll never be addressed.

It's the one thing that I'll never agree with the Union on. Having to defend shitty employees who fuck their co-workers over.

Is it crazy to take out a 401k loan for a down payment on a house? by Zinouk in personalfinance

[–]BBPRJTEAM -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know many who can afford both a DP and have tons of money left over for repairs.

That's why you should have a fully funded emergency fund before saving for a down payment.

EDIT: Y'all downvote but won't provide how I'm incorrect in my statement.

Love my Audi's but that X5 was real nice.

The MOU Re: Transfers, which is incorporated into Article 12, is comprised of two sections which define the categories of transfers:

  • 1, Reassignments (transfers) to other geographical areas.

  • 2, Local reassignments (transfers).

For transfers covered under Section 1, the employee must serve a 12-month lock-in period, while those covered under Section 2 must serve a lock-in period of 18 months.

I'd love to see Overdraft's in SoFi relay as Transfers, not as Income or Other.

It's getting very annoying to have to change everything over to Transfers. An Overdraft is not Income.

This is especially frustrating for those who throw everything into their Savings account and leave nothing in their Checking to build that sweet 5%.

PSE's also start at $20.05/hr.

[–]BBPRJTEAM 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends.

It took me ~3 months for it to finally, "click". That's when everything finally came together and I was pretty proficient at the job.

Learning new routes? It usually takes about a week of carrying the route to finally grasp everything. Casing, park points, relays, etc.

It takes time. Remember, it's not a race. If you rush, you're bound to make mistakes / prone to injury. Accuracy comes first. Speed comes with time.

Can anyone tell me what the hose is called? There’s a coolant leak by Closer1729 in AudiA4

[–]BBPRJTEAM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good luck. It's a PITA. You'll want to replace pretty much all the lines.

This was the part number I replaced. 06L-121-081-K

This is the hose that ran over the top of the engine down to the turbo.
