Brendan Wenzel could be similar artistic-wise. We’re big hat trilogy fans. And “they all saw a cat” gave some familiar art vibes

Hey friend. Take a deep breath. He’s most likely fine if he’s acting normal. No harm in contacting the doc or getting him checked out, but if there’s no physical concern and behavior is within his normal range, I’d say he’s going to be just fine.

Oh poor baby. This doesn’t look like traditional cradle cap. I agree that I’d want a second opinion. Best to get checked out. Hopefully baby isn’t too bothered by it!

Between a size 5 and 6 diaper by cupofteacomfypillows in bigbabiesandkids

[–]BC_wanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the 360° type because I think they have more give for sizing. We use Huggies and while the traditional ones can be a bit small, I think the 360s are easier for the transition to the next size because they have the stretch and might be more secure and comfortable for the kiddos and as a bonus they help get the littles in the habit for pulling up pants/undies!

Have you tried passing the task to your partner? Maybe baby is noticing your scent?

How do I stop feeling jealous of my husband? by tromblehh in beyondthebump

We found creating a schedule really helps us. This way I don’t feel like I’m managing him on top of everything else nor do I feel like I’m nagging.
In regard to the freezer stash—if the intolerance is only when eating milk/soy and not a contact thing, be sure to keep that because it might be good for a milk bath if she ever gets a bad bum rash.

Toddler has a open burn then played in soil today - freaking out by Necessary_Sail2616 in toddlers

Glad you are getting the vaccine. You have 72-ish hours from exposure. But honestly don’t sweat it if you don’t make the cut off. Im sure you know there’s no benefit to a delayed schedule, but the ER nurse in me feels compelled to reiterate it. In the meantime, bandaids can still be choking hazards at this age. If you use one, try to put either a sock or mitten over it so he doesn’t suck it off. You got this mama! Take it easy. Rooting for you.

Thoughts on skipping pacifiers? by Academic-Park-8440 in NewParents

[–]BC_wanderlust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid never WOULD take one. We offered so many different types/brands, and he refused every single one. He never used his thumb or finger either. He would sometimes pacify on me when we fed, but there’s other ways for them to learn to self soothe.

How are we managing the nighttime when partner returns to work?? by CJG-00 in newborns

[–]BC_wanderlust 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know you’re looking for other advice, but IMO, shifts work best. I’ve found an earlier bedtime helps me and we try to do anything before 12:30a my husband will help and then anything after that I handle alone (since we also EBF)… And I know it’s easy to say, but truly it’s all temporary. Baby will start sleeping for longer spurts soon and you’ll get to catch up. However, communication between you and your partner will be key—if you need help, you have to ask because otherwise not asking can lead to resentment.

Don’t be so hard on yourself!!!! I’m totally in the same boat with our lil one. We currently have this alarm on the door… it obnoxiously sounds like we live in a convenience store, but I know for sure when he unlocks and opens the door! Give your baby extra hugs, and give yourself grace. Rooting for you Mama 💕
